Nice one macca. If anyone is interested, I asked the chap at BV if they were the same, he said yes, even the same box, the only difference is the LED batteries, and colour. I must have been mistaken.. A work colleague bought a purple kit for his wife and brought it in to work for me to show him how to use it and he said he paid £30.00 for it. That one had the two 1100 mah LCD batteries but no wall charger and one one atty. I thought that was the same kit.

I'll let you know next week, think I'll be getting these, the colour suits the person they're for, the batteries are pretty big, and the screen is pretty cool.

Hello & welcome from me Rev. It's all a bit mind boggling at first, the terminology and huge selection of vaping goodness that's available on the market now . . . personally I think you can get utterly bogged down when you're starting out with the information overload. I'd take the plunge and buy a kit that's been well recommended, suits your budget . . . use it, so you get a feel for vaping and the various ecig components . . . and then go from there.

Hi Rev, Welcome to the forum....Questions are easy, Answers are harder, lol. Well the Riva is the standard E-cig that everyone here at AAE-C likes to 'push' onto newbies as it represents good value at the price, but I do not own one, I have never tried one, so I will not suggest it as it would be just wrong. Others will be along very soon to extol the virtues of the Riva system, recommend a supplier for it (Jason @ Vape escape normally). give you a discount code and send you merrily on your way to vaping nirvana. a lot of members do recommend the riva/ego as do many other helpful people such as VTTV presenters as it offers a solid reliable starter kit at great value ...which is a lot better than not offering an answer at all as you did alternative answers are encouraged and in fact welcomed but as of yet the only kit that comes close is the imist at almost double the price. would love to hear your recommendation, maybe its the 'oh so popular' Rok star??

Hi Rev and a warm welcome from me ...my suggestion would be to take a look at the suggestions given and ask any questions you may have ...it can seem a little overwhelming at first but once you get started it all becomes clearer

Welcome from me too.
I suspect my friends above are being kind. A little confusing ? lol
Still remember the headache from finding the first vaping board. Sat there absolutely bemused and befuddled. Despite what some may say that is not my normal state, well most of the time.
The trick is to ask questions. There is no such thing as a silly question you may get the odd silly answer but the question is never silly.
One piece of reassurance I can give is that 11 weeks into vaping I am now able to write about this and nearly most of the time know what I am talking about. I guess you have gathered what I do when I don't.

Thank you so much again! Well, what I really want (or think I want, based on what you've all said) is 2 650 (or higher) ego batteries, I think as Karma says I'm a light enough smoker not to need a higher capacity battery, then a couple of those rainbow/stardust things, then a charger. May not even need a charger - they're just standard mini USB aren't they? I think I can do without passthroughs... At first I thought I'd just buy this: vapourhut.com/e-cigarette%20kit?product_id=104use up the pre filled cartos, refill then when they're dead buy some stardusts, but then I thought I'd have to put up with refilling the non stardust cartos in the meantime, and they're prefilled with normal cigarette flavour which I possibly won't like (I smoke menthols). Any further suggestions? I tried to use vapourhut's build your own kit link but it didn't work. Also a few more other questions... What are cone covers? Do I need them? What does Variable Voltage do? And on a slightly different note, I know technically you're not smoking inside, but I live in a rented student house, do these things make the room smell of smoke for days after?

If you re-fill the cartos with menthol e-juice it will probably kill the taste of anything that's been in there before. The vapour from e-cigs isn't smoke so your room won't smell smoky. I have some caramel capuchino flavour at the moment and my house smells like a coffee shop

I think that kit from vapour hut would suit you fine Rev, don't forget to use discount code hut10 for 10% off. It doesn't actually say whether you get prefilled cartos or non filled with the kit - unless I'm reading it wrong ??? The cone is mainly for decorative purposes but can also make a bit of difference to the draw. As for vaping in your room, as Karma also says, it wont smell of smoke. A friend of mine is more than happy for me to vape in her car, even with the windows closed. She says all she can smell is a very slight popcorn smell - & that's even when I'm vaping tobacco flavours

Also a few more other questions... What are cone covers? Do I need them? What does Variable Voltage do? Glad you found something you liked Rev..It's a decent kit at a good price.. The function of cone covers are mainly aesthetic but they do draw some of additional heat away from the carto..The kit that you bought comes with them. Some juices taste better at higher voltages as the coil heats up more. A VV device gives you the ability to step up or step down and find your sweet spot in terms of flavour and vapour as personal tastes differ with every person. There are a myriad of Vv devices with different capabilities in the market. But for now I would just use the kit and see how you get on..

The standard Cartomisers that you can pick via the drop down menu on VH kit you linked to, are empty cartomisers mate. It's a good value kit, and cartomisers aren't so bad, a lot of people prefer those to Visions, so it's worth trying them. They hold more liquid than a cartridge, so you're not forever refilling.

Thanks.
I have now ordered the kit from VapourHut, with the code of course. Requested menthol cartos in the comments box, dunno if this will happen or not though... Will let you know how I get on!
