Hey all hopes ur all good?
So I've been vaping for 3years now and over this last year I've been experiencing mouth issues from sores to ulcers...I have moved over to vg with vg flavours changed my toothpaste lowered my Nic and still im getting sores. Surely I'm allergic to something? But what?
So can anyone help point me in the direction of an allergy test or something. I love vaping but this cant carry on. Thanks

Think that might be one for your Doc to look at, could be you are allergic to something, but think this would have manifested itself earlier if it was the juice or toothpaste, is there anything that you have changed just before it started

Hey thanks for replying. I first thought after reading that it was the pg but to be honest I don't think it is anymore. I seem to be ok for a few weeks maybe a month then I'm plagued again. This time is horrible. What I need to know is what types of allergy test would I take to rule out nicotine vg and concentrates?

That's why I suggested going to see the Doc they can refer you to hospital for those type of tests to be carried out

I'll echo Bob 's advice . . . . whilst allergies/sensitivities can manifest themselves at any time ( I became PG sensitive after 18 months vaping ) for the symptoms you describe then a trip to your Doctor seems a sensible course of action - just to check that there are no other causes for your re-occurring problem. Other than that, it's a process of elimination with the eliquids/ratios/flavours you're using . . . . .

It could well be totally unrelated to vaping, solac77 & not even an allergy, so as Bob & Perps have said, it really would be best to see your doc.

For mouth ulcers try extra vitamin C - the big fizzy ones that come in a tube. Probably B complex as well would be a good idea. I used to get them before I found that remedy. Nichrome and real baccy juices seem to be factors for me.

first step - definitely : Doctor
you mention that you are fine for some month and then it comes back - just note down everything you have put into your mouth before it comes back - could be anything - including spices - if you didnot have this problem with smoking, the it really might be something not vape related at all

I agree with the advise to consult your doctor, but as a general point some people are allergic to VG it's just seems a little less common than PG allergy.

I'm prone to mouth ulcers and for me I have issues with either colourings in eliquid and/or menthol. ..
I do vape both but in moderation, and in rotation with two other (non coloured/menthol) juices and I'm then ok. Any chance you're vaping on menthol or obviously coloured eliquid like heisenburg or red astaire?

For me if my vape is spitting, even a tiny bit that can bring it on, shame as I love claptons which tend to "pop" when first fired. Another unrelated cause is eating/drinking something that is too hot

While you wait for Doctors appointment, try Corsodyl Mouthwash. +1 this works Hi. I'm exactly the same as you. I've been suffering from mouth ulcers since I started vaping. I be honest since I've give up smoking and started vaping I've felt a bit stressed think it's where I've smoked since I was 16 and just give up straight away. I'm feeling better as time goes on. and I really enjoy vaping. I put the mouth ulcers down being a bit run down as I'm not smoking anymore but I could be wrong Anyway I use Corsodyl Mouthwash.every morning and I don't get my ulcers anymore so would highly recommend you use this and maybe consult a doctor.
