can't taste nothing

it does not matter what juice I vape I cannot taste or smell it, it is so frustrating because it becomes damn boring and I start thinking about cigerettes which I can taste or I could two years ago. I've tried DOUBLE ESPRESSO, PIPE TOBACCO, THE STRONGEST TOBACCO etc but nothing works, I'm 77 and have started wondering if it's my age what's the problem (my taste buds fading). What in all you vapers do you suggest is the strongest tasting juice or is there an alternative way for me to start tasting again, is there anyone out there about my age and have the same problem, thanks everyone in anticipation. as youve mentioned backy flavors i would seriously have a look at manabush who imo do the best backy flaves available.

also on a fruity note maybe heisenburg from vampire vapes

perhaps you have battered your taste buds into submission with extra strong flavoured vapes?
could also be medication if you are taking any?

Thanks lads for your advice, I use both mods and subs, for the first couple of hours vaping the subs I can actually taste the juice and then it just dies, I also use innokin mvp which is nearly two years old but still works well but without the taste, I do take medication so I'll have a look at that, they are mainly statins and aspirin .  I'll have a look at the two juices mentioned, thank you for your help. jamesrd

I like the Manabush liquids , my favourite has to be Chiricuhua Sun slightly sweet and nutty.
Best either with TC or 1.2ohms+ because the flavour(s) respond very nicely to changes in temperature.

When flavour wanes I vape menthol for however long it takes.
Buy some menthol crystals, PG and nic base. I would be very
surprised if you couldn't make some strong enough to taste.

Sounds like vapers tongue to me. Try a menthol or mint, one that works for me is Chefs Flavours "Clear Storm"

jamesrd there are lots of options for your woes

I've got a stinker of a cold and was going nuts not being able to taste last night

But I got a little via just mouthwash and a strong mint

Also I haven't tried it yet but Gengigel mouth rinse is recommended by catface26 for this malady

Do you rotate your flavours regularly jamesrd . . . . which for me means pretty much constantly. Normally I've at least 6 flavours on the go and I'll take a few puffs from one, then move on to the next.

I'd taste nothing either if I used just one flavour for any length of time . . . . no more than I could cigarettes, which was a blessing really as I loathed the taste of them in my mouth.

My vaping friend is around your age, on a fair number of meds and enjoys Snake Oil as much as I do:

Just shows how we are all different, I vape 99% the same flavour, day in day out, and haven't suffered lack of taste for don't know how long lucky I guess, but the menthol suggestion does do the trick for most people

I use a combination of rotating flavours with 5 on the go at the same time, a strong menthol for when I can't really taste any of them and I also find that upping the watts as each flavour starts to get muted works well.

yes, I'm afraid I am like snow and Perpetua in that I too have to have at least 3x atomisers and rotate flavours every half hour or so, it can be frustrating but its just how vaping works best for me, it sound like you may be similar?

I know there's the added cost of buying tanks in triplicates (or at the very least double!) but unless I swap about I lose the taste of whatever juice I'm on but if I leave off vaping for a while (20+ minutes) and take a toot = its very flavoursome so it might be because I like to chain vape.....

And the atomiser (tank) can make a world of difference too. When I find my vape tasteless I find that closing down the airholes as low as I can go and mouth to lung inhaling, brings back flavour so its worth trying and finding out what methods work best for you rather than buying endless flavours that seem tasteless to you
