Will it last longer if I put it in the fridge? Bit worried about putting it in the freezer in case the bottle cracks!

VG/PG doesn't freeze solid, so it won't expand to cause the glass to crack. The fridge is better than nothing, but ' frozen ' is still considerably the better option. DarkStar do infact sell Freezer Packs . . . . . My Apocalypse Stash taken out whilst I quickly defrosted my little Nic Base freezer - some have been in there for 5years. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/48111/bulk-nicotine?page=1

Afraid I wouldn't be able to negotiate storage rights for a stash that big. Had to settle for 3 x 1L bottles in the fridge. It's cool and dark (mostly) and doesn't use up too much food space.
I have been contemplating the value (or not) of a trickle of argon in the tops of open bottles. Anyone know if you could safely use welding argon?

UV light and heat are the enemy. Artificial light is almost not a problem. Airtight is also a good idea, so argon, being an inert gas, should be fine, but as mentioned, you need to ask a chemist.

I've been using CO2 - putting the Nic in Belgian beer bottles with oxygen scavenging bottle caps. I brew beer, so just treated it like beer...

No. It's not under pressure. I fill the bottles with CO2, then that gets displaced as the Nic goes in...

It's like an episode of the Mad Scientist. Beginners beware for france's sake. Amber glass, argon and CO2. Syringes, weighing and other peeing about. None of that for me. In the freezer, whatever bottle it came in. A measuring cylinder, a bit of guesswork and done in less than five minutes.

Each to their own buggritt . . . . and whilst I'm of the faff free top it up until it looks about right in the bottle persuasion, decanting Nic Base into Amber glass if you intend on long term storage - does make sense to preserve the contents from potential degradation for as long as possible. I know you'll do as you choose, which is your prerogative - but for any casual reader of this thread, I would like to think that they are seeing the best advice possible on Nicotine Base storage.

The casual reader would give the whole malarkey a body swerve perhaps? Misceivous maybe, but my point was it can be as complicsted or not as you wish. Not one person has any proof that nic degrades less in an amber glass bottle. Or that plastic leeches into liquid, which is a bit far fetched
