I don't use AW batteries in my provari ruby68 As long as you buy nipple topped batteries they will fit in fine and work well (18500 size) I am using red efest's in my provari v2 and p3 and classic models

Thank you everyone Pepperty, Thank you I I bought some of the Efest batteries and they are working but I think my Provari has a fault, it blinks contantly when I put the fully charged batteries in. If I leave it for a few hours it works perfect ! it is doing the same with the AW's. I have had it for 4 years and it has been chucked down the stairs and all sorts so lucky the get this far really ! lol It was driving me mad so I went out and bought a Smok R200 with a Uwell Crown tank...i'm still getting used to it so the Jury's still out

Have you tried giving the positive terminal inside the mod a good clean. Awkward little job.

The other thing you could try in addition to cleaning the contacts with some Isopropyl alcohol, is to to carefully scratch with a fine screwdriver the battery contact inside your device. I've had limited success doing both those things.

So it seems to be a common fault in the early models. Whether a full Isopropyl bath would help I don't know as I haven't dared to try.

Indeed they will work in a P3 but flat tops won't work in earlier versions as the only means to protect against reverse battery polarity was by physically preventing the flat tops making contact with the boards positive terminal.
