SMY 75 mini issue

I recently recieved an smy simeiyue 75 mini from Gearbest i popped a battery in it set at 23w for my builds and its burnt the wick, turns out when i fire it for a few seconds it seems to put full power through the mod then drops down to its normal power.

I opened a ticket with Gearbest and had a reply saying wait 2 days while they speak with the company, my reply from them today is yes its a fault, they said keep the mod and we will refund your wallet, or we will send another one.

Ive opted for a refund and just wondered is it now a bin job or would anyone have an idea what maybe wrong. Im assuming the chip is faulty but didnt want to bin it as its a nice little stealth mod

Is in tc mode or power?
you already have a windows DNA mod? but I'll ask a silly question.... you have run set up through Escribe rather than just going for defaults?
Base resistance set, no fluctuations in atomiser analyser?
no odd events in mod monitor?
not set for max punch, max time, 75w preheat?
right material?

a retail board is around £36 is it worth spending that, fitting and postage costs?

otherwise its a spares and repairs project/donor.

Its not a DNA75 stevef its made by smy not heard of them before but see a few write ups and was cheap so went for it. Yes i do have a couple of windows mods good memory

Its set to power it has TI and SS and power but the way its acting is as though it has preheat but i know it doesnt,

I know some else who got one of these and said that it gives instant full power. No ramp up time.

you got a credit from GB... bin it before it starts to gather dust.

Thats what it seems to be doing thebishman a shame nice little mod, yeh i got a credit from GB stevef i think it has to hit the bin to much in the bottom draw already. Cheers guys

I have ordered the carbon fibre version of this which is due to be despatched on 29th.
Is this a common problem / feature with this mod?
How have all the rest of you guys who bought it found it?
Should I cancel my order?

ETA I only vape in power mode so instant full power might be OK for you guys who use TC but is a big no-no for me.

@yinyang i have recieved a message on the ticket i opened with GB saying they had spoken to the suppliers and it was a known fault i didnt try it in TC mode as i only use power aswell so no good for me.

i recieved a refund this morning for mine but its in my GB wallet so can only spend it with them.
