Battery charger cable broken / disposing of bottles

Hi guys, a couple of quick questions:

The outer cable on my ego battery charger has broken and the inner cables are showing, but it still works. D'you reckon it's safe to use until a replacement arrives? I can take a pic if necessary.

Also how do you dispose of empty eliquid bottles? I've got a bunch of onepoundliquid 10 ml bottles, but I don't have any use for them. Are they ok to go straight in the recyc bin (the grey one where I live)? Btw if anyone wants them, let me know, although I can't think what use they'd be.

Rinse out the bottles, they are not toxic. No problem if you don't rinse them, but it's good manners. Then recycle.

The cable is not a problem, as long as you don't have exposed wire, The inner wires are protected from each other with a plastic coating, and then wrapped is another protective plastic sleeve. Fix the broken outer plastic with shrink wrap or insulating tape. If you can get an authentic replacement, then that would be ideal. But we don't exist in an ideal world.

Recycle . . . . or they might be of use to someone who DIY's scoops - you could always offer them up on the ' Free Stuff ' Board.

Thanks guys, I'll probably mention it on the board.

The trouble with washing bottles out before recyc is they appear to be sealed, so no easy way of opening them. This is also why I can't see them being of much use to others.

I have used a pair of pliers to pop the tops off, just don't pull to hard the tops look similar to this www.theplasticbottlescompany.com/product/18mm-pointed-plug/#product_images[grouped]/0/

I like to rinse things before recycling, but with the amount of bottles I have, that could take a while!

Fill the sink or basin, pull tops and throw in, won't take long when you have a rhythm going lol.

Is this what others do / have done when recycling? I might give it a go but if it's a pain to do, am afraid they're going in the bin as they are

I can't see an option to create a thread on that board.

I can't see an option to create a thread on that board.

Looking at your post count . . . . you probably don't have the minimum required number of 50 to create a thread on that Board scoops.

I'll go see what the particulars are set at - I could temporarily adjust your post count if that is the case so you can post, as after all you're doing someone a good turn.

Then edit it back again to the genuine number.
