Hi guys, I quite fancy trying the Red Astaire concentrate but the £10 for 30ml + £3 postage is making me think twice. I've seen the Red Asteroid stuff (is it any good?) and also found this today - www.rainbowvapes.co.uk/products/solub-arome-100ml-a-m (Fred's Master Evolution from Rainbow Vapes - 100ml for £9.50) Has anyone tried Fred's or Asteroid? Cheers, Andy

I use the master fred linked but I did buy the 10ml concentrate first to try it. I don't think it is like Fred Astaire it's more like red fruits. I also use the snake v1 whch is very nice. Postage is very reasonable on Rainbow vapes and free if your order is more than £10. They also send free 10ml bottles depending on your order. I think the only way to judge if any concentrate is to your taste is to try the small size first.

babs - thank you :-) I read the thread that mikedidthis and there seemed to be a question of oils being involved with some concentrates. In the end I found a good code for T-Juice and ordered two bottle from them :-)

I read the thread that mikedidthis and there seemed to be a question of oils being involved with some concentrates. Just to set your mind at rest if at some time in the future you wanted to try some of the SA flavours ghostrider1971 , any that you buy from The Ecig Shop, Rainbow Vapes and Chefs you can be ( hopefully ) certain don't contain oils as all those Vendors have done their research on the flavours that do . . . . the mixers that I've seen come unstuck have purchased directly from SA themselves. It's quite a confusing site to navigate round in translation, with the same flavours available in those that are suitable for inhalation and those that aren't - which is why I've only bought the number I've tried in the UK! Breakfast has been one of my favourites - jam on toast, rather nice for my tastes. thee-cigshop.co.uk/DIY/flavour-concentrates-15ml--100ml/solub-arome-concentrates/solub-arome-breakfast-v1-aroma-concentrate?limit=75

There might be many pretenders but there's only one Red Astaire Don't forget your 30ml of conc at 15% will make 200ml of juice, cheap,at half the price

I've tried all three of the Fred master solub arome concentrates. None of them taste anything like Red Astaire. Sadly they all tasted pretty rank (they have that drain cleaner menthol vibe going). Not been terribly impressed with any if the SA concentrates to be honest, the mothers milk was pretty yuck too.
When it comes to red Astaire the real stuff is worth the cost

Just to be awkward . . . . I've enjoyed in varying degrees all of the SA flavours that I've so far tried. The ones I would repeat are: Strawberries & Cream ( with added Strawberry ) Reactor Brainstorm Breakfast 1 Breakfast 2 Suicide Bunny Gambit

My advice is avoid any Solubarome flavours that are citrus fruit or citrus fruit related (like Panettone). I have Breakfast V1, Breakfast V2, Toast, Apricot tart, Donut, Tabac Biscuit, Biscuit, Caramel Bon Bon, all seem good, no oil issues. The Tarte Tatin whilst not appearing to be oily is permanently cloudy once mixed, decent vape though.

On the subject of oils . . . . have you spotted this on Rainbow Vapes Solub page: www.rainbowvapes.co.uk/collections/solubarome
" Solub Arome food grade flavour concentrates for vaping (citrus type flavours may contain FRUIT oils). These do NOT contain vegetable or animal oils which are dangerous to vape. Our flavour concentrates are sugar free, diacetyl free, contain natural and artificial flavours, propylene glycol, glycerine and are all produced to UNECE standards. "

Gambit, reactor, snake v1 ,grass druid , mint tea , pineapple and rum , kiss cool , breakfast v1 and v2 are all very nice. Kiss cool is lovely but is megga megga blue colour wise, its very yummy though I've got a 100 mil bottle on order lol.
Gorilla was disgusting
I've got a load more coming to test this week. Overall they are to me mostly good for a cheap Vape. Gambyt is extremely good and well worth a punt.

For the money (£2 for 30ml) solubarome is good stuff. I find them to be a strong concentrate that doesn't need insanely high percentages, I've been mixing mine at 10%. Shame about the oil lottery, any that contain oil should not be sold by vendors. By implication the suggestion above is that citrus oil is safe whereas vegetable and animal oils are not. That's ridiculous, no oil is safe to vape.
