510 too wide for mechanical!?

Hi all

First time this has ever happened. New mech (Nookie v3) and rda ( prophet by vapor clouds) but the rda will not thread into mech properly. I can get a couple of threads screwed on but then the rest of threading is too wide to screw down!!!!

Tried other rda's on the mech and other devices with the rda and all is good, seems to be just this combo which is very strange

Any ideas??

This happens occasionally. I have at least one tank that is difficult to screw on.
I just worked it back and forth until it eventually screwed all the way home, but you do risk buggering up your MOD if it is too far out.

You can email vaperzcloud if the threading is at fault, they're customer service is superb.

So which one is faulty? The Atty or the Mod? If you can screw all your other Atty's/Tanks on to the mod without problem then its the new Atty that is at fault. Your older Mods might have worn threads that will allow the new Atty to fit. One of them has to be out of tolerance. Send them both back for replacement?

its all to do with tolerances

if the mod is on the small side of the 510 thread and the atty is on the large size of the same size thread
you will struggle to screw them together

DiD genesis atties used to be like that !! a bit of a pain i know try it on some thing different ??

its seems like bones3 said....just one slightly big the other slightly small....as other attys work on the nookie and other mods work with the prophet
