Haven't been too well so this has probably been covered already but has anyone else had leaking problems with their kayfun 5? I'm pretty sure it's just the way I'm wicking them but have tried various amounts of cotton, watched u tube for clues and still haven't cracked it. Any advice much appreciated 😊

the bit you take off to fill it should have an o ring in the middle on the underside(under the drip tip as it were) if its missing then that's why it leaking

Have you lubed the two seals where the juice flow control valve screws down?
And make sure the wick is not touching the deck around the air hole below the coil

I've got 2 k 5's, one original, they both have the same problem so it must be me.

If the wicking is correct then the only thing it can be is a seal failure somewhere in the tank. Check all o-ring are in place and that the glass tank isn't cracked. How far are you opening the juice control? Is it possible you're opening it too far and flooding the tank?

I also had some leaking with my KF5. Turned out I was opening the juice flow control too much. I watched that video above, and as it said open no more than 2 full turns, that's what I opened it to. Now I only open one full turn, aint leaked since.

The way I see it, the "juice flow" is little more elaborate than unscrewing the tank a bit. One full turn is plenty, unless you are cranking the watts and/or using thick liquid. make sure you start from a position of fully tightened then use the logo to count your turns. It's quite complicated and rather clever but easy to make a mistake. Either that or it's a little under-wicked.

I don,t get why its leaking I got a v5 mini clone and I run that at 3 full turns out and it has never leaked. If its not a seal leaking then it has to be the wicking. BTW im on a 70 VG mix MTL at 15 watts at .6 ohms. If you under wick a kayfun they will leak ,I cut mine off at about half an inch and make sure you fill the well up right to the bottom or the juice will just run out passed the sides of the post. The V5 is quite forgiving with the wicking unlike other kayfuns.

if the sxk V5 is a fair reproduction you need to replace the two o-rings on the deck section. it stops most of the lower body leaks that could be attributed to wicking. So far I have not found a way to stop the annoying ring of liquid that is always under the afc ring.

Have now tried everything except replacing the very bottom o ring. Just can't think of anything else to do 😢
