I'm going to buy my apocalypse supplies this week - I know I've left it late I'm very tempted by the the tmbnotes premixed base which is £15.99 for a litre of 6mg @ 70/30 I may have my calculations wrong (feel free to check them lol) but I like strong flavours so I tend to bung 30ml of one shot into 70 ml of 70/30 6mg and that does me a 100ml of whatever I want and I don't really care what vg/pg or nic % that actually ends up being, it suits me. I thiiiink I'm getting through about 100 ml juice a month its hard to be totally accurate as I have 4 or 5 different flavours on the go at the same time but that seems close enough, so by my calculations with the premix I'd get roughly 14 x 100ml from a litre of premixed. Could anyone tell me how many I'd get from 500ml of pure 7.2 nicotine? Just remembered I have the vapocalpse calculator so worked it out myself lol hmmmm must be doing summat wrong somewhere according to the calculator 500ml pure nic @6% vaping 14.2 ml a day would last me 1.15 years as compared to the 14 months the premix would give me kinda makes it about the same then however the premix would cost me £15.99 whereas the pure nic would cost me £27.50 and I'd need to buy pg & vg on top (not including glass bottle costs as the'd be the same no matter what option). Have I got that right? Cos that seems a no brainer to me the premix is my better option. At my calculation the answer is 84 bottles. Blimey my maths sucks - 84 x 100ml? Where am I going wrong with the calculations? (This btw is why I prefer premix someone else has already done the scary math lol)

I get 6liters or 60 100ml bottles- 5years supply at 100ml a month or 13-14 months at 14.ml a day. 500ml of the 6mg premix with 30% flavouring would give you 715ml of ejuice or 50 days at 14.2ml a day (based on a sum I just did on a piece of paper with a pencil) so could be wrong. Edit I am wrong I forgot the dilution by the flavouring that postmodern below has included. So even more ejuice.

If using 72mg/ml nicbase, 500ml would make about 8570 ml of eliquid @ 4.2mg/ml .... so 85.7 X 100ml bottles of eliquid

snow Darkstar sell the 72mg NIC in 100ml amber glass bottles ready for the freezer, just in case you were not aware. I vape at 7.2mg now, so I get 1 litre of ejuice per 100ml bottle of NIC. You would get almost double that at the 4.2mg it appears you are currently on Also worth mentioning that the standard Walls Ice Cream tubs will take 8x 100ml bottles of NIC - keeps em together and safe and perfect for the freezer (I taped mine and put a warning sticker on it too).

Yeah I have looked at those @hondo but with postage a litre like that would cost me £76.85 whereas I can buy 1 litre from tmbnotes for £51.99 delivered and I can get 10 amber glass bottles from ampulla for £10 delivered so £61.99 in total. It does mean I'll have to decant it into the bottles myself but when its a £15 saving then that makes it worth doing.

You probably won't want 42 of them snow . . . . but MedoPac's price is very competitive on bottles - there is a £5.00 postage to take into account with them however: www.pharmacy-equipment.co.uk/pharmacy-packaging/glass-medicine-bottles/medopactm-amber-glass-medical-round-bottles-pre-capped-60ml-500mlOr, you can try your local pharmacy counters, that's where I've picked up most of my glass bottles from - very, very reasonable they have been as well. You may well get 10 for less than a fiver. Whatever savings you do make, I heartily recommend buying a funnel for decanting - they make the process far less messy, wasteful and straightforward. I bought a set of 3 from one of the local pound type shops - they've been a worthwhile investment!

Yeah I looked at medopactm but like you said I don't need 42 lol I'm actually thinking I'll get 4 x 250ml and 5 x 100 ml bottles, plus a set of funnels and some of those plastic or glass mixing tubey thingies. I will ask at my local pharmacy but tbh they aren't terribly friendly or helpful in there usually and getting to my local Boots is a royal pain as you can't park anywhere near by.

Sorry for being 1.7 bottles out on my mental calculation Postmodern Smoking, wasn't a bad effort since it's about 35 years since I put my top deck to test.

It does mean I'll have to decant it into the bottles myself but when its a £15 saving then that makes it worth doing. Better value from Darkstar is the 2 ltr in 2xglass bottles, about £100 delivered, doesn't have to be in amber bottles in a dark freezer (but you could decant, say, 500ml into 5x100ml amber for a few in a handy size) - that should keep you going for around 28 years or so on the above calculations from Postmodern Smoking ...... 8500ml juice from 500ml nic base is 85 months @ 100ml juice per month, so 7 years, times 4 is 28 years. It is worth noting at this point that the nic base isn't the most expensive element of DIY, it's actually the flavour concentrates, especially when mixing at high (i.e. over 10%) flavourings.... even my Inawera RY4 is the most expensive component when mixing for 10mg juice at 8% flavouring

So 500ml of 72mg/ml nicbase (making 8570ml of eliquid @4.2mg/ml nic) would last about 20 months. If buying 2 litres of 72mg/ml nicbase this would last 4 times as long, i.e. about 20 months X4 = 80 months = 6.7 years ..... Think that's right ?

I told you I was rubbish at math and having menopause brain at the moment makes it even worse but even I have to admit my OWN figures in post #28 don't add up. Brain fog has realllllly got hold of me trying to work out how much I am vaping a day/week/month but 10ml a day feels about right give or take a ml or 2 so I'm happy to go with the 14.2 figure - gawd knows where I got 100ml a month from So now to decide whether I want to be apocalypse safe for 2 years or 4 years.
