Hi all, I haven't posted for a couple of years, I used to be shorty but could not retrieve my forgotten password via the forgotten password link without downloading something which I did not want to do so it seemed easier to reinvent myself! I wanted some advice/opinions regarding the istick 50w. I have been using isticks for a while now and really like them and need a replacement one and was considering the 50w (my current one is a 30w) and wondered what people think of them? I don't do the sub ohm thing (never really knew what it meant and as I am reasonably happy with my aspire nautilus 1.6 clearo I didn't feel the need to find out) - is a 50w istick overkill for the clearomizers I use? I am wanting as long a battery life as possible between charges, hence considering the 50w. Any comments will be much appreciated

Hmm, just had a look at the Karnoo on your link GOMC, that works out even cheaper and with free shipping too. Are they a reliable company? Thanks again

I started my vaping life with TW. Nothing wrong with them as such other than they tend to be more expensive. Although at £26 for the 50w it seems reasonable for a UK supplier. I would also check out the China options before jumping in.

They also know their business and never give stuff away for a reason. The 50w had reliability problems. TW want to get shot of them. I refused to buy one for a mate, insisting he/we bought the iPower80. However, for £27, it might be worth a shot.

Thanks again Yeah fasttech are reliable, China though so shipping is slow plus it usually takes 3-5 days to process the order. But you know as long you don't mind waiting a while you can save some pennies.

TW aren't recommended or used by a lot of us on here as they attempt to tie up manufactures to contracts, which gives them the sole rights to sell products in the UK. They can then dictate prices and this also means that some Chinese sellers can't sell these products to UK customers at lower prices.

Hi ya froggylegs I'm one who joined up since you were last here. As some have said earlier the iStick 50 (in particular) has had some reliability issues reported in different places around the net. So much so that many will not stock or buy them. That said - I've three and I've never had issue with them. Mine work well as simple VW mods (none of that later fancy Temp Control stuff available) and they do give decent battery life with convenient USB charging. I also have a couple of iStick 30s and love 'em. They naturally don't have the battery life of the 50 nor the ultimate output power but have proven reliable and robust for me. I've not seen any reports of general systemic problems affecting them like I've seen with the 50 either - they do seem generally very well regarded.
