Greetings all, slightly off topic, I can't seem to find any poison/warning labels for my upcoming decanting session. I have a couple of litres of nic going into 200ml bottles. I have found plenty of large labels but no luck with smaller ones. Anyone seen any please?

From the States is likely to be hit by customs charges now, plus it's more expensive than what's currently still available here if your quick. China i don't know if i would trust it to be actually pharma grade. ... To add to what Perpetua has said, a couple of extra comments about Chinese sourced nic: * "Pharma grade" or USP (as sometimes quoted) isn't necessarily an indicator of good vaping quality nic base. There is one Compounding Pharmacy in Australia who advertises their services dispensing Vaping nic - with script supplied by their own "in house pet doctor". (And whose legality is questioned by some). By all accounts, despite being rated "pharma grade" their stupidly expensive low strength nic base is reputed to be putrid to vape. * Outside of the US and Euro areas, many vapers source their nic from China. Certainly many in Australia do. Whilst some Chinese nic can be poor quality, some certainly rivals the best sourced from the states - particularly in recent times. I've not bought any nic from China myself as I'm still working thro batches obtained from the US (Vaping Zone, truly excellent quality and also from Nude Nic, so far untried). However, watching many report their experiences with Chinese nic on local Oz forums, it seems to me that if you choose a good Chinese supplier you will, likely, receive very good quality nic base. * I can make no comment about rules in your country that govern importing, allowable concentrations, taxes, duties and similar.

I bought a litre of 72mg nic from Darkstar end of October for £40. Today, one month later and after the November TPD deadline it's come down to £31. Go figure Take heart that soon it won't be available at all, and £40/L is still a great price. Personally, my brother and I have just bought 5L from EL at about £38/L, because we know it's source; whereas DS don't say who makes their nic in the US. Everything Liquid's website states Manufactured at a WHO GMP licensed and US FDA approved pharmaceutical production plant based in Switzerland
Darkstar says We source the highest quality pharmaceutical grade product from the United States
Not much difference between these two statements, unless I'm missing something.
Currently 1 litre Everything Liquid PG nic is £43.99, whereas in VG it is priced at £59.99 compared with Darkstar's £30.99

I think I'm going to buy one more litre from Darkstar now the price has dropped again. Thats definitely it though - shouldn't need any more ever By my reckoning that will give me 30 years worth of nic when added to what I already have (I don't vape high power or subohm, plus I mix at 3mg)

After you have cut the paper to the size you want get a pen and wright on it what description you want on there and when you have done that get some sellotape and wrap it around the bottle with the piece of paper, so you will have a bottle then the paper and over the top sellotape to seal it.

Welcome to the world of Nicotine Shots . . . . . the future after May 20th 2017 in the UK. 18 x 10ml bottles @20mg - £15.99 Not exactly going to be cheap to mix your own in the future then if you don't stock up while it lasts, but at least there is a future Work out how much extra the last 30ml mix you made will cost using 18mg/ml (at 89p for 10ml)?

Yeah I know it will be more expensive, I was just thinking that at least it will still be possible, and with the price of ready made liquids set to rise with the cost of testing due to be passed on to the customer it should still work out cheaper to mix your own, albeit not as much cheaper as it used to be.
Best bet is still to stock up on nic base while you can

Actually I was wondering if you had any idea how much the TPD would increase the cost of making your juice. For instance, these are the costings for a generic mix at 6mg/ml at a ratio of 30/70vg using 20% flavouring using the prices I paid for my current ingredients. Pre-TPD72mg/ml Nicotine | £33.24 / 500ml | 2.5ml | 0.17 | PG | £9.21 / 2000ml | 3.0ml | 0.01 | VG | £4.09 / 1000ml | 18.5ml | 0.08 | Flavouring | £2.00 / 10ml | 6ml | 1.20 | Total cost | | | £1.46 |
Post-TPD18mg/ml Nicotine | £0.89 / 10ml | 10.0ml | 0.89 | PG | £9.21 / 2000ml | 3.0ml | 0.01 | VG | £4.09 / 1000ml | 11.0ml | 0.05 | Flavouring | £2.00 / 10ml | 6ml | 1.20 | Total cost | | | £2.15 |
It's a 50% increase in cost but - compared to ready-made liquids at retail prices - it's still going to be dirt cheap, especially for those on low nic mixes. Using the same unit prices, a 30ml mix at 3mg/ml which currently costs £1.38 would increase to £1.72.

Unfortunately I have no idea what I paid for my current use nic base as I bought other stuff at the same time and don't tend to keep track of prices once the bill has been paid. I don't think I even have the receipt or any emails for the last lot I bought and it was only a couple of months ago
Your calculations look pretty good though - thanks for taking the time to work it out
