How they in their ' wisdom ' can ban the wearing of poppies at International football matches on Armistice Day is in my view outrageous!

Poppies do not make a political statement, we wear them as a mark of respect to the fallen, to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in past conflicts over the decades . .  . . I wear my poppy with pride.

It looks like the England and Scotland FA are going to defy this ruling and rightly so.

As above and if FIFA don't like it then tough. I'd sooner see them get disqualified then not wear poppies. I'm sure everyone would give them a great cheer just for that. And defying dickheads in an office who haven't got a clue to what they actually represent.

The best way to get them to fall in line is write to the sponsors,advertisers and broadcasters and let them know you can't buy their product or use their service if they are associated with FIFA.
Once businesses start contacting them and saying hey you're harming our brand we are going to have to consider cutting ties with you they'll start listening.

Scotland ain't getting to the world cup finals anyway, so they definitely have nothing to lose getting kicked into touch for this. (TONGUE IN CHEEK FOLKS)
On a serious note, this ridiculous instruction has been delivered as an order and a threat from THE MOST corrupt governing body in the world. They have been allowed to dish out orders and directives which are akin to a dictatorship for years : the reason is simple, for too many years their derogative decisions have gone unchallenged, now is the time for that to change. Hang your head in shame FIFA, I sincerely hope that none of them that made the decision ever wear a poppy, I'm sure the many fallen heroes can do without the respect of scum like that.

Yes it was a win but it was only Scotland, they need to start quicker against better opposition.
