Ok so tonight i set out to mix my first juices.

At first i was a little apprehensive and not sure how it would go


My first try was in a 50ml bottle. 50/50 PG/VG @ 12mg of Monkey Jizz by Vaping King.

I first added my flavour directly to the bottle. 10ml/10g @20% 100%PG.
I then added a small funnel to the bottle and zeroed the scales, put in 10.47g 72mg 100%VG Nic Base
Then 21g of VG
Then 15g of PG.
Removed the funnel and as the bottle was not entirely full i thought i had made a mistake with my measurements so i weighed an empty bottled and the filled one to compare the weight of the two and my weight was within .2 of a gram at 56.6g.

I have now filled 4 100ml bottles of Heisenberg, Pinkman, Red Astaire and Black & Blue and feel like i have the hang of it.


I will now let them steep a bit before trying them and before i mix anymore in case i have made a balls of them.

I think i have an Origen dripper i bought years ago somewhere. I was never really into dripping tbh but will give it a go to see how my juice evolves in it's steeping process.

If i can't find it what would you recommend for a non sub-ohm user?

So i found my Origen dripper and gave it a clean today. After it dried i put a build on it to try some of my mixes.

First up was Heisenberg as i have never tried it but thought i would check out the hype.
Put a couple of drops on the wick and after a couple of toots i noticed the nic level was pretty high and i got a nic rush. I then tried the pinkman mix and got the same effect.

I then thought that as i was dripping maybe the nic level i wanted (12mg) was too high to be dripping with so i filled a kayfun with Black & Blue and i am getting the same result. Nic rush!

I have a feeling i have made a balls of my mixes but i measured exactly what the calculator stated on my scales and shook the bottles well before use.

Any ideas what i have done wrong?

Here is a pic of the percentages i used to achieve 12mg at a 50/50 mix using 72mg Nic base.

There's a slight error in weight's listed stu1873 ... but it shouldn't change things too much

specific gravity of 72mg/ml nic in VG is about 1.198
specific gravity of 72mg/ml nic in PG is about 1.038
specific gravity of Plain PG is about 1.032
specific gravity of Plain VG is about 1.264
specific gravity of flavours... assume same as PG

Here's my calculation using EJMU after entering the above specific gravities:

Is it possible that the pre-made eliquid that you've been buying, isn't actually as high a strength as you think it is stu1873 ?

Looks like the calculator i used isn't very good at calculating! Pity as it looked pretty good. I was going to use the e juice me up one but i had to enter the values of the weight every time i used it. it would not save them no matter what i did.

It could be possible Perpetua that i was using a lower level of nic than i was asking for but i have been up at higher nic levels in the past and i never got a buzz like i did today.

I may well have to dilute my mixes next week when i get a chance. Say i want to try and half the nic level from what it is from a 100ml bottle what amount of pg/vg/flavouring should i add?

To half the nic in a 100ml mix, you'd need to add another 100ml of dilutent and flavouring.
So (at 15% flavouring), that'd be 15ml flavouring, 35ml of PG and 50ml VG

OK so a couple of nights ago I mixed up 50ml of appleicious at 6mg and it is still too strong in nicotine after trying it today.

I do not know what the hell is going on as I use exactly the correct amounts every time but it is starting to do my nut in!
