10 x £2 coins = 119.96g. I don't think my scales are out by that much tbh. That seems ok... just a small fixed-ish error each time. Worth checking, but I agree, I don't think that they are the issue.

The other suppliers nicotine should help you confirm that the problem is the initial nicotine that you bought. .... keep us informed.

I didn't want to contact the original vendor until i was completely certain that the nic was at fault or if it is on my end. Thank you all once again for the advice. Hopefully i receive this batch before the holidays so i can get to the bottom of this problem and report back.

Just a suggestion stu1873 . . . . if you wanted to send one of us a small sample of the nic base you're having the issue with to try out, then I for one would happily pay you for the postage. Having a second ( although non scientific ) opinion could be useful perhaps to take to the original Vendor?

stu1873 Hi Stu.. Does your scales have the capacity to weigh at 0.01g? not 0.1.... These are my scales... www.creamsupplies.co.uk/on-balance-envy-digital-scale-500g-inc-batteriesHow I mix is very simple.... I measure my nicotine, PG VG, by measuring cylinders. Nicotine 10ml cylinder, PG/VG have a separate 25 ml each.. For flavours. I use weight... What is your coil resistance? (and how much power are you using ,) as you are vaping 12mg, a subohm build would be very strong nicotine hit... Regards Mike

If the nic base is 100% nic, then how much stronger than 12mg would that make the juice using the same weights ? About 17 or 18mg ?
I only ask as you said you have tried halving the amount to make up some 6mg instead of 12mg and it was still too strong - then maybe either the PG or VG bottles have nic base in them by mistake ? As halving the amount of nic base should bring it down to about 9mg if the nic base is 100 rather than 72mg
I know its a long shot but maybe Postmodern Smoking could double check my rough working out..... if you understand what I'm getting at that is
Unless I have totally got it wrong that 100% nic base is different from 100mg nic base that is

I'm sure Darkstar will replace it once you have proven to yourself the new nic is good. Personally I haven't had a problem with them but the best of anything in the world can't be 100% perfect every time. It's a shame it's landed on you the first time mixing but a learning curve at the same time. Hopefully you will be over this hurdle shortly and be pleased with what you are producing

(and how much power are you using ,) as you are vaping 12mg, a subohm build would be very strong nicotine hit... Regards Mike I build my coils to around 1.2 ohm and Vape at 14-15w. The 12mg was way to high and the 6mg that I used yesterday also blew my head off tbh. At first I thought I didn't shake the nic bottle enough and all of the nic was at the top of the bottle on the 12mg ones so I shook the bottle for over a minute on the 6 mg ones and the same effect. I will see how I get on with this other batch before I think of throwing in the towel. My scales go to 0.00g. I have checked them and they are slightly out but not enough for them to be the culprit IMHO.

Dont think about throwing in the towel, next time to start with, just mix of 5ml or 10ml with the new nicotine..... and see how it transpires... Also, when the new nic arrives. smell both, see if one smells different than the other, just an idea...

If it is 100% nic (1000mg/ml) then it would be 167mg/ml rather than 12mg/ml .... although I think that highly unlikely. If the plain VG and plain PG are in fact in 72mg/ml nic, then a 15% flavoured mix would turn out at 61.2mg/ml instead of 12mg/ml.
