Hi Guys, so Friday i popped down to my local ejuice shop and brought myself some nice whip n drip and some policeman juice, both of em in 6oz bottles so a lot of juice there, the guy in there told me to steep the juices by taking the lid off for around 5 - 10 minutes everyday pop the lip back on and then shake em like you mean it! how ever, the whip n drip tbh smelt abit like glue when I smelt it but I thought id give it ago, anyway I left the lids off of the juices and with in probably 30 minutes the solvent smell from the whip n drip completely went and it smells amazing! I really cant wait to vape it! so I'm asking shall I leave the lids off the juices permanently and then just shake em up twice a day? there in the airing cupboard so nice and warm in there to! thanks a lot chaps

The short answer is no vaperreg . . . . the warmth from an airing cupboard over a continued period of time with the caps off will a) dry out the mixes b) have a degrading effect on both flavour and nicotine content. ' Breathing ' ( caps off ) certain mixes for a short period of time ( 12/24 hours ) can be useful depending on the concentrates that are used, as it helps any alcohol to evaporate/clears any chemical smells. But over the whole steeping period it's not recommended. Welcome to you. Incidentally, I mix/shake and forget anything I make . . . . the bottles are tucked away in a kitchen cupboard and if I remember then they might be given a further occasional shake in the steeping time. It really isn't necessary to be ' nursing ' eliquid to this degree to get a good end result - time and patience are the two most essential factors.

I do same as Perpetua I make max vg and shake, caps on and leave in cupboard for 2 months. If after 2 months there's any weirdy chemical smell then I'll let it breath for a while

Steeping errrrrr best not lol.
Mix shake put away for a week have a little test of the mix then put away then keep testing every 2 week to get a idea if the mix does change, that's what I do it then you get a good idea on how long it takes to get the best from that particular mix for next time you mix it, well that's my theory anyway.

I wouldn't bother with the airing cupboard but everyone has their own ways. Time is the key imo I'd just put them in a cool dark cupboard and like minime said, try them on a weekly basis if you want. I don't even do that though, I just put them away for 2 months as I always make max vg and find it best

For me i mix them put in airing cupboard with the caps OFF overnight then recap and leave them alone for a few weeks (less for fruits) I find some fruit flavours do smell chemically if not allowed to breath for 24 hrs but again we all do different things. But as said above time is what is needed for most DIY juice even so called shake n vape juice i feel benefit from a couple of days minimum.

Fruits... maybe caps off for no more than 12hrs. Fruits dont normally need long till ready. 48hrs is normally when i start trying them
Desserts... caps on for aslong as it needs for you to enjoy it. Some desserts get better with age, some dont. All down to personal taste.
But one thing i have learnt/noticed is dont leave it in sunlight for long. Seems to do something to it...and not for the better.
Similar to perpetua...i make em, shake em, lob in a cupboard thats not effected by heat and leave till i wanna try them.

We were all new to the habit once and have learnt through trial, error and asking advice - you're no different to how we all once were. And, congratulations to you for making the switch to this wonderful world of ours.

Those juices are American, right?
Vape 'em now, don't worry about any breathing or steeping as they've had a while to steep already. Any time between manufacture and shipping, time in transit and however long the shop you bought them from have had them in stock. They are good to go!
