striker42 *sneaks back in for a mo* Could you point me towards the coils the Plato uses? It states BVC (?) Nautilus - but in searching them out I found a couple of posts that said something about only the mini's fitting?? So confusing! On the Aspire UK site in their dropdown menus to the right of the Plato show 'compatible' coils and says nothing about Nautilus...but Triton something or the other. It's not made easy for someone like me

It definitely uses the Nautilus BVC coils shazzaSome others might fit and there is a low resistance one (0.4ohms) for direct to lung inhales. However, at £4.99 each from the very lovely (not) UKecigstore, those are definitely not worth getting this system for. £4.99 PER COIL... £25 for a 5 pack. On your flippin' bike.... If Aspire and UKecigstore think this is the way vaping is going, they can think again. BVC coils are around £10 for 5.

These are the coils Mrs Striker uses in her Plato. I did say in my earlier post that they were 1.8 ohm coils, these as you can see are the 1.6 ohm coils but work for her just the same. There is also a 2.1 ohm version too but she has never tried those. Prices around the internet range from £6 - £15. The pictured coils were £8 from a B&M shop in Carlisle. Hope this helps.

*drumroll* The deed is done, and there is a Plato winging it's way here, should arrive tomorrow or Wed There was the choice of 1.6 or 1.8 coils, I went for the 1.8. Way excited here and will let you know how I get on. On a side note, someone overhearing a conversation I was having said that their grand daughter had some "vaping tube bits" gear that she no longer used as she now only vapes at home and uses, and I quote "one of those really big, stand up on the table pipe things" lol. So we'll see what comes of that! Hope I can sleep tonight...

Congratulation on your new toy shazza. I'm sure it will do the job required adequately. If you encounter any teething trouble with it, just shout up, I'm sure there will be someone that can offer sound advice here.

Lookie what I've got Hoping I've not picked a humongous file size Left it to 'soak' an hour and still playing about with it, adjusting watts and air holes, trying to get the right combo. At present I'm not getting the vapour that I got from my carto! Still, the flavour is very good and I shall soldier on, airflow/watts... s'all new to me, lol. Looks pretty and feels good in my hand too. The woman who's grand daughter now has a huge shisha pipe (lol) brought me a few bits today. It was the odd drip tip etc... and a brand new still packaged Nautilus X!! Well, seeing as though the vape gods were smiling on me and I've hardly spent anything - at least compared to some - in my near 5 years of vaping, only buying ego type batteries, cartos and juice, I went a bit nuts. I've ordered an iStick Pico to go with the Nautilus X and the extender/adapter glass to make it 4ml. One for each hand I think One very happy camper here with big big thanks to you lovely forumers for your help so far.

Reporting in Think that I've pretty much settled, I seem to be happy at 12.5W which the little display says is 4.8v (+/-) on firing. I don't see any proper holes on the airflow so must be closed down quite tight, lol. Using the tip off of my old set up to help me feel more 'at home'. Only one issue really, on the rare occasion I am getting just a very slight burnt taste, as if the coil isn't wet but it definitely is. This seemed more pronounced when I was trying it at 13W, but didn't like that setting anyway so... Also, a forum etiquette Q. - Now that I've got the new kit I was asking about, should I start another thread for questions I have on it or just continue on here? I'm sure there will be a few, lol
