Hi,
I have noticed that as soon as i inhale/exhale vape then talk straight away, my voice changes slightly as though the vocal chords have been affected somehow.
By changing i mean it gets a little husky.
Could this be down to the pg or vg? I use mostly 70/30 (pg/vg) or 50/50.
It takes around 3 seconds for my voice to return to normal.

Or alternatively vape more and get a job as a Barry White impersonator vaping tends to dry your throat thats why we recommend that you up your water intake, it's just probably your vocal cords tightening a bit due to vaping.

Oh Coughless, hope this doesn't mean you are going to have to change your name again to - voiceless As Des says, it could be due to being dehydrated?

I think im drinking plenty of water but like des says its prob just temporary tightening of the vocal chords. I do suffer from asthma and have to inhale powder twice a day so maybe that also contributes to the problem. I might try a few different ratio's to see which one makes it worsen/better But i wont be changing my name again Chrissie

It sounds as though the ingredients of the juices could be triggering your asthma very mildly - perhaps you should experiment with the PG/VG mix? I wonder if any other asthma sufferers here have had a similar experience and have found the answer?

Yes I had a bout of that , what i did was to add glycerine to smooth out the tobacco and that helped, but I still get it if I crave a tobacco vape.

I tend to lose my voice a bit when I get my invoices from vapeescape, but I think that's more shouting related .

I wonder if any other asthma sufferers here have had a similar experience and have found the answer? I have asthma and find that 100% PG makes my thought hurt and tightens my chest it's ok on a 50/50 mix found this out over the weekend when I was vaping some juices I bought from perps felt like my throat was ripped out gonna get some VG from boots to water it down !

Forgot to mention that i find im doing the 'back of the throat clearing cough' quite often now. Oh no, is that a name change i see coming? I'm going to try some juices from vapists with a 70/30 VG/PG mix and see how that goes. There is a slight charge for extra flavoring. I will be going for more VG mix and from what i understand the VG doesn't have as much flavor so would i be better to add extra flavor? As for what juice i have left i might try watering it down with glycerine. What exactly should i be asking for at the chemist?
