yes Provape is another casualty of legislation, but like any other manufacturer they must have been aware of what they would have to do. It's not as if they had a huge product range, apart from the myriad of different colours. V2, V2 mini?, P3 and Radius. No new development, just more of the same. Marketed on reliability and its safety first operation. Evolve managed to fire out 4 ?? new boards before the deadline. A shame people had to lose their jobs but it looks like a modern dinosaur fell over and died before it even reached the tar pit.

Absolutely agree SteveFNowadays you cannot survive on "just your good name" and firms have to put in effort, investment and future development to keep up with our ever faster world.

A company that thought that it was too big to fail, selling low end gear at top end prices, it was never going to end well! Seems that the FDA speeded up the decision for them.

One common message that appears to be coming from all this over regulation throughout the World is that WHO and the Governments concerned care sod all for their publics health otherwise the opposite would be happening. Just further proof its all about revenue!

A great shame to see Provape go We sold over 1,200 Provari's over the years and had a grand total of 11 faulty units that needed returning. So expensive or not - their reliability couldn't be touched by any other manufacturer (a vendors dream). I hope David and the team have a good future in whatever they choose.

Fair play Jason, never had a provari myself, but have at least 8 mods die on me in 26 months of my vaping experience, is that acceptable? I don't know but feel sure people would pay a premium for a guarantee of sorts? Most people know the cost of everything but not the value of well made products I'm afraid. Just a sign of the times with cheap Chinese crap. I despair of it all at times.

If I may; the value in/of a Provari was something special back in the day when something as unreliable as a Joyetech eVic was £100. You bought quality and were repaid well. I wish I had invested. Now, you can buy a complex box mod for £40 which might well do a year, maybe 2 years. I see it a little like many electrical gadgets.... there are people (always) ready to pay to dollar at the time of purchase but they don't represent enough (%) of the population. I buy £99 phones and use them until they cease to work properly. No way would I buy a £400 phone. If I'd bought a £200 mod that became a dinosaur in the power race, I'd still have gone a purchased 2 or 3 cheap mods anyway, as the technology is moving so fast. It's a 'horses for courses' thing....

when i started vapeing 15 watts was the norm unless you got a 30 watt vamo or the provari ,tube mods were the norm i got the vamo and it still worked when i gave it to a mate a year later the price of the provari was just silly at the time the dna came out and the regulated box mod took off like a rocket, did provapes bring out a box type mod nope the evic mini and dna200 came out both with some sort of tc and provapes ,narr we still gona make tubes when peps are offering over 60 watts then out of the blue for some reson the make a large box mod with not much power and a silly small screen that prob wasnt well suited to there norm customers (old peps tend to need glasses) they were so far behind the times it was a joke i am sorry peps have lost there jobs but thats mostly due to management of the firm still say i can get as good a vape from a mech as any mod under 50 wattsif tank is set up right

I have an original Provari which is reliable and is now my "all time, if everything else fails, standby".
I have, in the past, spent over £100 on 2 MODs. One a Provari 2 and the other a Billet Box. Both of them were useless, fiddly and unreliable. However they did teach me a timely lesson in that expensive MODs are not necessarily good MODs, for me. All the MODs I have these days are under the £35 mark, easy to use and very reliable.
