A wee birdie told me (well it was gill2009 ) that Perpetua will be attending, is this true ? If so Mandy, will it be one night or two ? If it's two nights, I predict total CARNAGE.
Perpetua , gill2009 , taz96 and Pepperty , two nights trying for an olympic gold medal in vodka drinking for Great Britain, it could get messy.
I managed to get my nephew off the stinkies and on to vaping at the start of the year, so he's decided to come along with us for the weekend.

Tim is most kindly transporting me to the event, I'm booked into The Broom Cupboard at The Sydney as that was the only room they had left . . . . . not that that matters as a) I'll be with our lovely Scottish division and b) I'll be in too much of a state to notice my surroundings anyway! 

With my pup care, unfortunately I can't do two nights away, so I've train tickets in my hot clammy for the return journey Saturday . . . . . which will be the challenging part as I've several changes to make, otherwise where I end up will be a matter of luck!

O and I've bought myself one of those suitcases on wheels as holdalls didn't seem such a great idea platform hopping. There wasn't much of a selection left, so the case I bought looked quite small in the shop - it looks much larger in my house however. Not to worry, I like to have loadsa stuff with me . . . .

So I just need to book a taxi to get me to the station in time for my mystery tour of the UK.

Super! Perpetua glad you got sorted, one day is better than none! I tend to travel by train nowadays, especially if its city to city without changes.

I have an 'under 2 and a half hour rule' anywhere that takes longer than that - I get the train and as long as I book fairly early I get good prices and with the cost of fuel, train tickets are cheaper and far less hassle.

Obviously Shrewsbury is fairly local to me - its only 1 and a half hours and is a decent route so I drive as I've got all my camping gear!
