You're doing well crag, I'm another that started high, 36mg & then 24mg and stuck on 24mg for a good while before gradually dropping down. I don't like anything menthol or mint really but I do like Red Astaire, its a good strong mixed berry liquid with a nice cool kick to it. T-Juice aren't necessarily known for stronger flavour liquids, they just happened to have made that particular one along with their Black n Blue that vapers all over enjoy.

I wouldn't worry too much about menthol in e-liquids crag , I loathed menthol fags but thoroughly enjoy vaping menthol flavour in juices. That's funny...because I smoked menthol fags...but hate a menthol vape (unless me taste buds have gone walk-about...then I have one tank with menthol to kick-start)

.... But both bought after EE reading reviews. The only thing that concerns me about both models is reading batteries may only last 3-6 months. I didn't find vaping harsher than smoking, or is this vapers tongue telling me otherwise? Can I ask about "after EE reading reviews" please? - I'm not sure I understand. (Not all reviews can be trusted... ) The battery thing seems an odd conclusion to draw as well. Vaping can be very harsh at first. I smoked RYO and often purchased exotic (legal) loose tobaccos of varying strengths. Vaping was very hard for me; it took me a year just to reach 9 watts.

I eat and vape Custard with similar enthusiasm - lots of it for a while then total abstinence. (Oooh, like beer!!)

Sorry, forget the EE, it was phone typing error and shouldn't have been there at all I'm on a learning curve. I expected to change a coil after a week, from what I read. I have changed one, and that may be because I had vapers tongue and not a used coil. How long a battery's life span is I don't know? Until it dies I won't know, only by what I read on these forums. Flavours are a learning curve too. I expected 2 or 3 to get me by, till I can try some more. I've made a mistake in buying 30ml bottles of flavours that were ok for me, instead of buying a bigger variety of 10mls. And I've 3 10ml bottles of flavours I won't use again after their trial

I've got some 14mg red astaire here crag if you want it, a bit short of the nic level you're on, but at least you'll get to taste it before outlaying anymore cash.

There are bits and pieces of Vaping kit some of us own that have lasted very well. The best thing is to always have a back-up. I remember losing both a Spinner and something else (?) the same day and having to make a rushed purchase from UKecigcabin of two batteries overnight. Mods are usually more reliable to be fair. 18650s last ages. I found one (Sony VTC) in the shed of all places that hadn't seen a charger in a year. It bounced back to life good as gold. High quality beats all with batteries.

Thank you for the offer, that's very kind of you. I have put in a order for the Red Astaire this morning so should be with me in a couple of days, hopefully before I have wall paper and plaster under my finger nails. It's not so much the outlay of cash, it's the hassle of having to go online and ordering stuff, and then the wait. And then there's the frustration of thinking I've set myself up for a while, and realising I haven't. I expected to be buying the odd bottle here and there to try, but it's a bit manic at the moment. I've switched the strawberry for a raspberry which I bought to try which is bareable, and the BNH for Dark Horse which I find quite yuk. It seems I've lost the throat hit too at the minute. Onwards and upwards.

Thank you people. Red Astaire came yesterday, which is good, but I couldn't use it as an all day vale. I got a couple of Manabush to try too. The Capa-thingy-wotsit Sun is a good taste, and probably the best for amount of vapour that I've had, but lacking on a throat hit. I'll try the Nokomis tomorrow and see how that goes.
The learning curve is a bit frustrating at times, and I'll be glad when this coughing clears up too. Only a coulple of days away from it being 3 weeks since smoking a fag. The vaping Saturday and Sunday was blooming awful, but at least I left the Lambert and Butlers alone.

Well the Red Astaire has gone back in the draw for now as that's a keeper, while I try some more flavours or finish the ones I'm not getting on with. Still not sure on Nokomis, Osuma seemed a bit better though. I've loaded with PowWow today and don't know whether I've stumbled on something I shouldn't have, but only having one tank, when I change a flavour I am aware there'll be some of the previous liquid on the coil. So I believe I may be getting a blast of both Osuma and PowWow. After reading reviews on PowWow, it was the one I was least confident in. What it's like later may be a different matter, but at the moment YeeeHaaa. I'm getting a good throat hit, and the taste is ok. Not fab, not crap, but ok.
Just ordered some Hangsen tobacco flavours to try as I'm convinced tobacco is the 'all day vape' for me at present, and fruit for that occasional vape. Also ordered a new Nautilus 2 so I can change about without having to wait to empty the tank.

You're doing really well crag I think the most difficult part is the first 6 weeks, trying to replace (and replicate the act of) smoking, dealing with cravings whilst learning how to use vape equipment (and work out what suits you best) plus finding a flavour you enjoy. It's all a challenge but you've come far already and it only gets easier as time goes on, I promise!

I'm doing ok leaving the analogues alone, and happy with that, but suffering a bit with frustration on flavours, and having to put up with some bad tastes. I'm reading about so many different brands, and as an example, reviews on tobacco flavours and the vast majority that xxxxxx brand is the closest flavour to real tobacco. Yet you try one or two and they are nothing like. Maybe the brand I used to smoke was the only brand that didn't have caramel or whatever flavouring in it. And throat hit is important at the moment. Then researching into flavours so as not to buy stuff that's becoming unavailable. I expected to buy the odd bottle now and again for variation, but not this much. I've ordered a few different fruit ones today, and that's the end of my ordering for a while till I finish a few. There's one or two that I won't load up with again. But I will add some Omusa with the PowWow again as PowWow on its own isn't for me. The mix was good earlier.
It's worse than giving up smoking, lol

There really is no "closest to tobacco smoke" crag(This from someone who vapes a tobacco-style every day).... Manabush is a step up from ecigwizard though... (which I wouldn't waste any money on in all honesty).... You should make you own long-term unless you go all fruity.
