It's common to vape more than smoking. Also 2ml/day is not that much.

crag In addition to all the good advice above... Did You get hold of any Hangsen tobacco flavours? I reckon these would suit You as You say You're getting on well with 'baccy flavours & after the throat hit. Hangsen seem to get 'dissed' a bit elsewhere but imo, Their tob. flavours are hard to beat:- suggest 'Red USA' for strong flavour & throat hit, 'Golden Tobacco' (ex='RY6'...) good too. Im hoping for a delivery tomorrow, and will see how they go, as looking at your recommendations I didn't select the right ones, 😂 I did notice the RY6 but it said discontinued.

Hi again Crag - the way I discover new juices is by subscribing (and I'm not suggesting you do, just letting you know thew option is available) to a monthly variety box, from a company called Sizzlebox - basically, once a month they send me 5 or 6 different juices (you can ask them not to send certain categories, such as menthol) randomly - costs about £25 for between 50 and 70ml in total, including postage, I think the first box is cheaper. I've been using them for about 9 months now, and haven't had any juices I hate. Mostly they are good to outstanding, and that's how I've discovered some that have become favourites (Triphammer's Raspberry Donut Yogurt, I'm looking at you!). Taste's a funny thing, it's so subjective, so a juice that I think is great, you might hate and vice versa. It can be a nightmare tracking down flavours you enjoy - even going into a shop and trying out what they have doesn't always work, because not every vaping rig will give the same flavour result. Thus, it gets expensive. There's another company (only used them once, 'cos Sizzlebox means I'm a bit overwhelmed with juice, plus I mix my own) called One Pound Liquid which sells (surprisingly enough) liquids for one pound - might be an idea to try some of their flavours out? As far as kit goes, it's taken me a year or so to decide on what works for me - and that's sub-ohming, meaning I have cut right down to 3mg strength juice quite easily. Because of the vapers tongue issue I have to have at least 3 flavours available at all times, but have ended up with 6 Cool Fires of various powers, and 4 Kanger SubVods Those hit my sweet spot. It's perfectly normal to vape non-stop - it's different in that way from smoking, the nicotine takes longer to enter your bloodstream, and so people tend to vape for longer than they would have smoked. You're not doing it wrong. Also, don't think for a moment you're being a 'pain in the backside' - people here like answering questions about vaping! Best of luck with it all!

RY6 was my staple for 3 years. In the end I was ordering the biggest bottles from Fasttech. I loved that stuff. So harsh, so nasty. Lovely!

Thanks DJS, l'll have a good google tomorrow for some RY6. Reading about it sounded like my kind of vape.
Thank you too Darkginger. Sizzlebox may be a good thing for me as it'll make me try flavours I probably wouldn't have thought of adding to a shopping cart, and I've been paying more than that a week on various flavours. The extra couple of tanks I've ordered will help.
I haven't done too bad today to be fair. I've used the Red Astaire a bit more trying to get my taste buds back. My first draw on the Cirri Sun was quite strong, so I reduced the watts down to 11.5 from my standard 14w, as I had noted that previously as my vaping session went on, the less taste I was getting. Maybe the higher watts wasn't helping the vapers tongue, or maybe I'm just getting my taste buds back slooooowly.
And just as I was thinking 'this vaping is better today' the damn coil went. But it worked out ok in the end as with the new coil I no longer have the spitting on the T18e, and doesn't sound like I'm sucking on a firework.
P.S , A quick query regarding the Sizzlebox. It states the flavours will be as high VG as possible, from what I've been reading it sounds like I need 50/50 for the flavour and throat hit rather than the vaper

Sizzlebox is starting to look not so interesting. I'll probably stick with recommendations for now

Just to add my twopenneth worth - you should try entering as many giveaways for e-liquid on social media as you can - quite a few regularly post, usually when they have a new flavour that they want to promote - and it might just be the flavour you're looking for - as to your chances? The same as anyone else - but it's another way to try something that you've heard about, without having to purchase it - if you don't find it suitable, you can always pass it on - In the past couple of weeks I've given away three mods, four tanks and about 100ml of juice to my vapefam - all prizes that I've won, and thought they'd be more useful to others - just to clarify, I won them over a 6 month period, and each "prize" had something that I hung onto.

Thank you. I can manage with these forums, but it's as far as I go regarding social media. I can't handle Facebook and reading about what someone's having for lunch etc, and being in the wrong for not logging on because they messaged me, and it was urgent, when they could just as well rang me. Anyway I've had my deliveries for the week. You're all leading me astray , I got some ry4 and ry6, some coffee, chocolate, blackjack, custard and most of your recommendations. I've had a blast of ry4. I can't say it tasted special, but strooth, it had a good throat hit. Thought I'd swallowed a hedgehog. Admittedly it was a 24mg. Would that increase the throat hit over an 18mg?

crag yes, as well as the PG component of the juice, the higher strength of nicotine will certainly give you more throat hit. Oh, and a spitting coil is quite normal and nothing to worry about. When the wire on the coil is new, it does a damned fine job of vapourising the juice and it does spit and sizzle a bit. As the coil gets gunked up with caramelised juice, it calms down, and eventually the coil starts to taste funky and 'burnt', at which time it would be prudent to change coil. Sweeter juices like caramels, custards and other dessert juices will gunk up a coil faster than fruits and menthols, so just bear that in mind. Lastly, please keep asking questions, it is how we help others. You have no idea how many new vapers are watching this thread and taking on board the comments and suggestions, so questions are to be welcomed, and we really don't mind!

Thanks Chykensa. It is to help those that will switch from smoking to vaping that I kept all my 'new to vaping' woes in one thread. There's me thinking I needn't flavour shop this week, but your reply is making me think to grab some more 24mg tobacco while I can. I do have some 18mg in ry4, so may give that a try to see what throat hit it gives beforehand. I don't think anybody who has their first cigarette would say "ah, that was yummy". And the Hangsen 24mg RY4 had that effect with me. I can't vape it for long periods and I don't need to. If I could have a couple of tobaccos like that and a couple of occasional fruit / sweet / desert etc alternatives to keep vapers tongue away, then I should be ok. In other words, I'll be back on here shortly with a shed load of more problems

heheh no problem, crag... you've had some stunning advice from the members here I trust you have kept all the original ones you thought were naff... you could well find that trying them again is a different experience as they have had more steeping time and your taste may have changed subtlety over the past weeks.... Regarding costs, yes they are high at the beginning, but do taper off... I've been vaping for 2 years and I spent more in the first 6 months than the remaining 18... I started out (as did most of us) with shop juice and replacement coils.. I now make my own juice and build my own coils and it works out both cheaper and when making your own juice to get to play the mad scientist for an hour or so... Meters of coil wire are pennies, the cotton for the wicks also dead cheap and you can mix up 100ml of juice for about a fiver... result!!

Thanks pipeman01. Yes I've kept the naff stuff. My taste can change hourly. The RY4 that give an excellent throat hit can sometimes seem smooth which blooming annoys me. Ive a vampire vapes blackcurrent that supposedly was too strong a taste that's weaker than the strawberry I had. Kind of looking forward to a too strong fruit.
Just had a 2 hour car journey that was strange without a cigarette, but had no problems. A couple of draws on the Ry4 and I'm too top again. Can't say I'm enjoying my vaping because of my taste buds.
I think my mind set has changed since starting. It was to stop me smoking originally but think the first port of call is to stop thinking of cigarettes. They'd probably taste rubbish too now if I tried one.

They'd probably taste rubbish too now if I tried one. Whilst they probably would taste horrible by now.... don't chance it... especially as they come in packets of 20! That 1 cigarette might result in another.... and it is a slippery slope, especially as you are still trying to find a stable vape.
