dead sd mk2

my new SD MK2 arrived today, just trying it out with 510s ive never used them before.
not so sure i like the carts, i must look like bloody goldfish.
any tips for LR 510s?
oh and when it arrived what does it have...........


a button cap ( no string).
after being told (unrelated to my order) that there is no button cap, and you cant buy one.

Lol, it took me ages to be able to use a rounded cart, I still like the chunky whistle-tip to grip wiv me teef while I'm typing or cooking.

I use 4075 whistle tips carts in 510 attys myself (they are what TW sell as "Mini" carts)

Well, thanks for that tip prof, I have been trying to figure out how to get whistle tips for the 510 as not that keen on the round ones.

thanks prof,
i only have 2 whistle tips amongst the dozens i have.
im wondering as your the man for reviews etc etc if it would be nice to see some pics and advice on which carts fit what atty and what perform best on which atty also.
for me i prefer whistle tips with blue foam on the eastmall LR 901 attys, but prefer white fluval with the 2 part (browny filler bit) on TW normal 901s, etc etc.
it would be good to get a seasoned users guide.
i just know you are in need of a project

I've found the 4075 whistle tips fit the 510 atty and the round 510 carts fit the 4075 atty, as the 901 carts are shorter than the 4075 carts I'm not sure they are as good with the 510.

to be honest i was looking more for that newcomer i got from trog, the dish like ones.
to be honest i found them awful, but never really found out from trog what they really were, he had never seen any like it either.

yes i had some different looking 4075s from trog around april time, trog did look into it but i dont think anything came of it.
he/we called it the gazzamizer.
to be honest they were really poor, i think i still have the ones that are still alive.

i just wondered if thee still about, as personally i would avoid them.
they were i believe also supplied by TW AND TECC, when i last ordered some more from TW i went for black hoping they were old stock, they were.
i have not bought any since then.

Ah! The Gazzamiser - thought that what what you meant - if you look there is a picture of one in my blog article - they do seem to be around still but so do the other ones!

The Gazzamisers seem to need plenty of "oomph" to perform - good with fresh batteries but less good later in the battery's "cycle".

yes thats sound right prof, they can be great oe minute then useless the next.
they should not be selling them really imo, as they dont do what it says on the tin
