I think it's probably easier to get away with vaping at private do's.

I don't often go to pubs (that's why I'm often here )

Before this weekend, the last time I was out was at my Dad's birthday party. it was my first time in a pub with my e-cig, a riva, and I asked if it was ok. the landlady looked at me as tho I was stupid and said of course it is, it's not agains the law, lol

and i stay in the rural Scottish Borders

I contacted the venue for the wedding and reception and the answer was no, outside only at all times.

I was happy to go outside earlier in the evening last night and once it got later I just thought s@d it. it's a difficult one to call, if you ask you're on the back foot setting yourself up for a 'no'. if you don't ask, well lets face it, you're not breaking the law

I do think the cig-a-like thing is confusing for publicans, I seriously thought the best man was smoking when he first started vaping his cig-a-like. Most publicans will think that all e-cigs look like real ones

Think I might be stealth vaping and nipping to the loo quite a bit, lol. I don't mind going outside during the day but I don't fancy standing outside in the cold especially if it is persisting it down at night. Sent a picture of the pink riva on request cause that's what I use.
I think I may not ask in future as all attempts so far have ended in no.

Vapers are known for their weak bladders Njk. . . as much as we'd like vaping to be acceptable in all social circumstances . . . sometimes it's just easier to nip to the loo or stealth vape.
