Butyric Acid

Anyone else strongly dislike butyric acid in flavouring? 
(Used as an alternative to diacetyl, acetyl propionyl and acetoin)

I recently mixed up some TFA DX Popcorn Movie Theatre @6%, and it tastes like a really nice popcorn, only to be spoilt by what I'm presuming in the flavour profile is butyric acid. It works, but spoils the taste (to me), if that makes any sense?
Maybe not a problem to Parmesan cheese lovers (not I) and such a shame.

Is there anything that can be done to mask it or will it always linger?

Yes! Absolutely horrible for me . . . . and I really couldn't get past the taste in the eliquid it was used in. Yet someone else thought it was a pleasant vape - which just goes to show again how subjective personal tastes are.

dogs, can detect it at 10 parts per billion, whereas humans can only detect it in concentrations above 10 parts per million.

This is the stuff that goes into American chocolate...........and gives it the taste of vomit.

I think the capella version 2's use it and maybe the tfa dx versions. Maybe someone else can shed more light on that. Personally I have more of a problem with whatever chemical they use in cap dulche de leche and cake batter, bloody horrible

used it a lot of yogurt flavouring .... think its in twelve monkeys bonogurt but only small amount

I've never understood why essence of sweaty sock got used in anything supposed to be inhalable.

I like DFXPMT - so it does not seem to be a problem for me.

My least favourite taste is that cardboard aftertaste in some fruit flavours - worst offender so far is a Peach from Bluestar, it's basically cardboard with a subtle hint of peach....

So if they do use BA, I'd imagine it will be a synthetic form as opposed to an animal product derivative.

We'll keep the actual eliquid to ourselves then Dave, as I know our Snow has just bought some in a Smash n Grab . . . . it'll be interesting how she finds the taste.

I have the same problem with Vape247 flavours, all diacetyl/AC free.
Crazy Custard smells lovely in the bottle...vapes like puke with coconut (but the bounty could just be me)
Devons Custard.... sour cheesecake
Even the Cuban Cigar had a cheesy twang but the M+P Nutz I mixed in has made it extremely palatable...after 4 months steep.
