A few people doing this more often might get the ball rolling. yea everyone needs to do it before they will take notice I took a £200 TV/DVD player back to Comet 3 days after buying it. They refused to replace it and insisted on sending it away for repair. After some blue language and being escorted from the building, I waited three weeks to collect. My leaving comment after I collected it was "You deserve to go bust"..... which they did 2 months later. - - I'm such a charmer when I get cross. - - Playing fair no longer exists in certain areas of retail. I feel sorry for the people who have to deal with people like me when it all goes pear-shaped. I vote with my wallet.

Bad luck sealover1 , such a pain when vendors are this bad. You could try reporting them to trading standards, but I don't know if it would do any good. I tend to buy from China, mostly Fastech. have had faulty products but always managed to get them replaced, though it takes ages. Worth buying a less expensive mod there just as backup, if you can afford. Hope you get something sorted. yea I will be reporting the shop to trading standards and I have a cheap mod as a spare now Good, my understanding of the law is that vendors are responsible for what they sell, and they can't fob you off by referring you back to the manufacturer, also that goods need to be fit for purpose for a reasonable amount of time (whatever that means!). Good luck with it, hope it goes your way.

djs - You are my number 1 choice for negotiating (or preferably keeping us in..).Brexit Thank you. I appreciate the thought. I am too easy to bribe though.... I only just escaped from Amsterdam with my passport after some serious bribery in 1994. Three Norwegian girls and a room full of talcum powder doesn't look so good on the CV. (Although Jamie Theakston nearly got away with it.) I thought bondage dungeon was a newly updated version of the 1980s board game dungeons and dragons. I have an attraction to board games and am the king of Monopoly... how could I say no? They wanted to tie me up, tell me to be the dog & charge me £200. Outrageous!

Sadly, I think they can offer to get it repaired by the manufacturer for you, so Comet were probably within TS. This (at minimum) is what the bunch who sold to sealover1 should have done, but decent companies would give the customer a replacement then chase up the company for their loss.

Dunno, but I got one from here, was so impressed I blagged another couple in the healthcabin mega sale for a bit less, maybe Sigeli are discontinuing and they're selling off stock - don't really care, as they'd be a bloody good mod at 2 or 3 times the price Oh, and 4. OOS at hc now. The finish on the non-SS ones is very good quality enamelled-type paint, looks & feels robust. The one from efun was SS, the 2 from hc are black and white, but as said v.good quality finish
