BrenD I think Theresa May might be the security risk, I cannot describe the feelings I have about this tragedy all I will say is God bless.

Well all materials used should comply with building regulations and be signed off. But there is a big question mark over this. Nothing is concrete but I've heard that this cladding which was used isn't fit for purpose. I was at the tower today so sad. Had a really dark and grey feel. Absolutely terrible whorse when your actually there. So upsetting. When I left things we're getting very heated there. Wouldn't surprise me if it all kicks off there tonight. People have a lot of questions but very little answers.

I can only imagine Taylor, seeing the news broadcasts of the building is one thing . . . . witnessing what must a terrible sight in person, would I think hit home, hard. Although the sense of anger and frustration, is very evident, even via the TV screen.

I see TM has ordered a Public Enquiry rather than an inquest - complete cop out

So experts have been advising sprinkler systems for 9 years minimum in all tower blocks over 30 meters high, and is mandatory on new builds, i heard a figure of about £1200.00 per flat to retro fit a system, so 150k or so, peanuts compared to the money they just spent. I take issue with the political point scoring going on, Corbyn is on holiday, TM has a Government to organise.

probably, I'd be pretty sure that the materials used were within the rules, the problem is the rules have been relaxed.

It appears to me that the cladding was the cause of the speed and spread of the fire, adding to that the advice to stay in your flat, until it was too late for some people caused the high death rate, if they had not cladded it with whatever they used I'd bet it wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad and the advice to stay in your house would be valid, although surely getting out cuts all chances of you being a casualty? I blame the cladding material which whilst it may be legal or not time will tell, it added the chimney effect which would not have happened if there was no cladding. Cladding even though done with the best intentions of insulation being the main one and also making the block look better, obviously the materials need to work and work not just individually but also when placed above and to the side of each other, I'll bet they were never tested like that? back to rules and regs.

Just seen a car crash interview with TM on the beeb, it's not her fault this happened, she is not to blame, but still she won't put the blame where it lies, or answer a question with a straight answer, Politicians ffs. As my x used to say, she's all fur coat and no knickers

probably, I'd be pretty sure that the materials used were within the rules, the problem is the rules have been relaxed. I had a brief chat with some building surveyors today. They said the cladding was falling to the floor still on fire. So I know the cladding played apart in this fire. But there is a couple of other things which didn't add up to me I saw on the news gas pipes was moved on to the communal lobby's I'm no expert in these fields but these pipes were exposed no fire proof insulation ducting around them. Which means these pipes will explode when the fire gets to them. I just think the people who lived in this tower deserves to know the truth no cover ups. Literally felt sick looking at this tower today. These poor people didn't have a chance getting out of there. I just hope the people who did make it gets rehoused and looked after that's the least they can do.
