Oh ... dear.
Words fail me. Like Mandy says, I hope causalities are minimal.

Quite baffling how the entire building can get engulfed like that. Hope they all made it out.

Apparently the residents association have been concerned about the fire risk at this block for years and have warned about it many times grenfellactiongroup.wordpress.com/2016/11/20/kctmo-playing-with-fire/ I hope that there are no fatalities - but its hard to imagine that everyone made it out given some of the eyewitness interviews that I've heard.

I would like to ' like ' all of your posts, but somehow that doesn't seem appropriate given the situation. So I'll just say whilst this catastrophic situation is still unfolding, that once again our First Responder's - the Emergency Services put their own lives on the line to save others. It makes me feel very humble. May the Lord rest the souls of those who have not survived.

I dread switching the telly on in the morning. If it's not a mindless terrorist incident, it's a tragedy that could have probably been avoided were it not for politicians or businesses squeezing the last bit of profit. Plus, if I hear 'lessons will be learned' again, I'll scream!
In my worst nightmare, I cannot imagine what went through the minds of those poor souls once they realised what was happening. So many lives, once again, destroyed... even if they survived, they'll have the memories.
After 70+ years on this planet, I cannot recall being so depressed about the future for our kids and grandkids, but we must keep going, right, what else is there? My thoughts are with all those affected.

My heart goes out to all the peoples of London, who in recent weeks have suffered terrorism, and building on fire causing many deaths, casualties, homeless. We as a nation must take a serious look of how we can live in harmony, and assist the peoples when they are in need. I like Raffles 70+ of age wonder how the next generations will handle their hopefully peaceful multi culture existence. I wish them well.
