I'm talking about the stuff they put in salad. I still prefer a Cos, now marketed as round lettice, to the fancy alternatives. Rocket seems to be about the most expensive. Does it really taste so much better that it's worth paying three or four times the price? Or is aimed at people with more money than taste buds? .It is also sold with the leaves picked which turns out to be ideal for salominella.

Rocket leaves taste very different to a lettuce... Whilst I like them, as part of a salad, I also like bog standard lettuce too!

Yes I don't mind a few leaves thrown into the salad but iceberg lettuce I likes as the main leaf. They do a goats cheese pizza at a restaurant around the corner which has rocket on and that goes lovely

For the last month ive been on a "back to training and living healthy" kick.
Rocket has been in my salad wraps i take to work. As said above...it gives a nice peppery twang. Also super good for you

I'm talking about the stuff they put in salad. .... Ah! I really hate those places who throw a few rocket leaves next to the main item on ya plate and then describe it as a "salad". It ain't. Those green leaves are just one ingredient that needs to be combined with other items before you can call it a salad. Many times, it might better be described as a garnish. Oh - and, for what it's worth, I prefer Cos in my salads too. *shrug*
