As Karma & Des says, keep them wet by topping up. You can use the condom method to refill again if you want to.

Re the LR's getting hot - hope you have got yourself a drip tip?

yes, it really is just down to personal preference whether you refill the same carto with a different flavour or not. I do, & have had some quite nice combinations of the flavours for the first few drags

Chrissie: Yes, I am using a drip tip on top of the carto. I think it's just that I've got used to the cooler vapour on a standard atty and the LR vapour feels hot in comparison. Not a problem now that I'm getting used to it, but just wondered whether the increased heat of LR has a tendency to mute out sweeter type flavours. (?)

When changing between juices in a carto, it's easy to just give them a wash in warm water between flavours. It's not advisable to change from a strong flavour (eg menthol) to something lighter

Everybody needs a spikey thing LOL.
I prefer a cooler vape and when I started I was not at all attracted to the idea of using a metal drip tip, but I have since found that a Stainless Steel drip tip keeps nice and cool relatively. Recently I have been using CE3's and they give a nice cool vape. You have to fill them with a syringe though and that can be a bit off-putting.

dave: the advice I was given was that I'll probably want to upgrade to something like a clearomiser at some point soon, but they do involve extra fiddling around, so I should maybe start off with LR Boge cartos to see how I get on.

Seeing as I keep hearing so much praise for them, I think I'm going to order some rainbows (some SR and some LR, to see what difference it makes to flavour) and also some CE2s (the short ones that hold 0.8ml, and run at 2.6-2.8ohms), and I would be grateful for any advice on the following:

Do you need a syringe for filling CE2s?

I notice that there is a version of the rainbow with a longer wick (as listed here: www.vapeescape.co.uk/new-vision-ego-v2-rainbow-long-wick~362 . Would anyone recommend these? Is the longer wick a significant improvement?

I think I'll be putting an order in to VapeEscape, seeing as there is the 15% discount at the mo (not to mention that I'm also keen to get my hands on some of that cocomel that people keep mentioning!) ... so my final question is: are there any other types of carto/clearo currently stocked by VE that you'd recommend I add to my order, just to try them out? I'm completely open to suggestion, as Boge cartos are the only thing I've tried so far.

I can't help you with the CE2's Kurto, but with the Visions, the longer wick ones are version 2 & wick the liquid better than the shorter wick ones.

Maybe try a dual coil cartomisers or even a dual coil tank?
