I gave direct driping a go a couple of months ago with a standard 510 atomiser that I'd got in the beginning. I wasn't too impressed I'd like to give it another go as I have loads of small sample bottles that I want to try without committing a carto to them! I've heard people talk about a bridgeless atomiser, is this it www.vapeescape.co.uk/bauway-306lr-bridgeless-atomiser~356What are the advantages of using one of these?

I haven't used a bridgeless 306 atomiser Karma, although I believe Gordy does very successfully . . . but in a DCA. I understand they can be a bit spitty, but don't speak from personal experience. I do drip on a LR901 and a bridged LR306 very successfully though . . . 501's are not great for DD, although better than using a carto to try out new flavours.

The bridge allows more juice to be held within the attie so that you don't need to top up quite so often, think of it as a wick, as perpy says the bridgeless type tend to spit quite a bit so unless you have a long enough drip tip then you risk boiling hot juice reaching the mouth. There is no difference to flavour or performance that I could tell. The DCA is essentially a drip shield and cancels out any chance of a leak if you over fill. Not worth looking at till you find out whether or not you like 306 dripping. Cloud9 have them but their site is off-line till 17th may.

Can I just shamefully push into this thread I've tried dripping with the 6v atomisers you get with the LT kit and sometimes get a decent taste out of them, but it seems to be very fleeting. Has anyone succeeded in using these for dripping?

A LR 1.8 ohm 306 at 3.7 volts is pretty much 10/10.
A LR stardust is probably a 6 and the E1 clearo is a 7, a reguiar imist a 7.5 and the phoenix CS3 is a 8 for flavour, according to me.
A LR stardust with a SS wick also rates a 8 and the throat hit is tremendous. Need to try a SS wick on an imist.

Has anyone succeeded in using these for dripping? Them atties require regular cleaning when certain types of juice are used, mainly caramel based are a problem because they tend to leave a gunge around the coil that burns after a while and causes dodgy flavour. Also flooding these atties will mute the flavour.

I thought I would give this a try, I got the following: www.vapeescape.co.uk/510-standard-resistance-atomiser~9I just took the plastic end off, dropped in 3 drops of Grizwalds Chocohaze, stuck it on the LT with a standard drip tip and bloody hell, the flavour is really nice. No spitting yet and I do feel the drip tip is a bit close to the hot bits but at the moment it is giving off great flavour. I bought it so I could try different flavours without screwing up a cart

Macca have you got a link to your perfect 10? I think Blakey already linked a Bauway 306 Karma.. www.vapeescape.co.uk/bauway-306-lr-atomiser~217I use them with the bridge in a homemade driping adapter to prevent leaks. (It's the big piece on the top with a 306 fitted.)

So most people seem to agree that I'm better with one with a bridge! I'm glad I asked as I had it in my head that a bridgeless one would be better, I have no idea why i will try to restrain myself from ordering until the weekend to see what Jason's specials will be
