Not keen on the idea myself as it does exactly what Perpetua has said about driving small businesses out of the market. I wont be buying stuff from these places as they get more then enough revenue from all the other places what have had to close down due to not being able to compete with them. Support local that's what I like to do.

I fear this could be the slippery slope for some vendors. Take a bow Mr Patel, you've played a blinder, but on the other, hand you sir, may have shot yourself in the foot in the long term.

The only supermarkets I make it into on a regular basis are Morrison's and Tesco and the only liquid they sell is Logic. Most of the disposables on display are Logic too. Big Tobacco. I'd be delighted if they started to sell something as good as Dinner Lady, I still haven't found a lemon tart that equals it.
I was stupid enough to leave for work today with a full tank but no juice, dregs aside. Going to a B&M would've made me late, so I was left with the choice of vaping the dregs, paying £10 for 30ml of Liberty Flights (much better than the juice they used to sell, at least there is a high VG option)/£20 odd for some Twelve Monkeys or Schlurp from the Spar at the station or giving the Logic a go. I chose the dregs. I'd have been all over Dinner Lady at the sort of price it usually is.
Until the supermarkets start to sell mods, tanks, coils and stock a greater choice of juice, people will still need to use B&Ms or buy online. If that ever happens, and I can't see it being any time soon, the staff in any B&M that deserve to be in business will have a greater knowledge of what they are selling than supermarket staff and, importantly, the time to offer advice. Two of the members of staff that always seem to be on the lottery/baccy kiosk at the supermarket near work get confused with the small range of filters and baccy they stock, they wouldn't have a hope in hell with vaping gear.
It's an option for those of us who know what we are looking for and find ourselves short of juice and time to buy it elsewhere rather than anything for anyone to panic about.
Edit: There's a limit to the amount of promotion Asda/Dinner Lady will be able to do as well, which we all know is idiotic. I can't see the sales prompting Asda to start stocking a greater range of gear/juice.

Many are not old enough to remember the good old High street Tobacconist 1 or 2 of these great little shops who's business model was offering for sale a vast array of cigarettes ,pipes ,cigars ,lighters, matches and flavoured tobacco from around the world could be found in most towns around the UK. --- Up until 30-40 years ago these dedicated Tobacconist were the "vape shop of the twentieth century".

Asda stocking e-liquid was a real life saver for me today - having given up my coke so no caffine and absolutely loathing hot weather at the best of times I discovered just as we pulled onto the M4 headed to my grandsons 4th birthday that somehow my soft mint tank was barely holding 1ml of juice - but I know I 100% topped it off before we left so can only assume I must have had an airlock (never had one before though) I always overfill the tank so that juice comes up out of the other fill hole and that most definitely had happened. So rather than 2 tanks holding 3.5 ml each I had only 1 x 3.5 and the other only just half way up the coil holes. No worries I thought I've got 10ml soft mint in my stainless steel juice can ........thats sitting on the shelf where I put it after I refilled it of course knowing I didn't have as much juice as I normally take out with me meant all I could think about was vaping and how I was going to have to ration myself - which made me want to vape even more. However after a morning of being a wee bit on the tetchy side I remembered reading this thread and on our way out for a nice walk round the lake we took a slight detour to Asda sadly the only "mint" they had was "Happy Days" menthol cool mint which turned out to be 18mg but tbh once dumped on top of my soft mint was vapeable and I probably needed the extra nicotine by that point lol Not something I would choose if I didn't have to but being able to grab something on a bank holiday Sunday away from home was handy.
