i started on mtl and still use it for high nic juice to stop my nic cravings
i got the cloud bug from enjay and was soon running a dripper on a mech at 0.2 ohms
then the kangertech subtank came out and i said it was a bad day for vapeing
next thing we know its getting banned all over the place thanks to retards cuckin sick clouds bro in shopping centers ,pubs ect
thanks to these loons i now have to check if its ok to use my little mtl setup in pubs and if they say no thats fairnuff
yes ive got a 200 watt gbox squonk thing thats good for clouds but i dont use it much in public and defo not inside public places
snd just to finish the rant
SHOPS THAT SELL SUBOHM KITS TO PEPS THAT WANT TO STOP SMOKING
it dont give you the same hit as a ciggy and never will but it will use a lot of juice and the coils wont be cheap
i cant imagine why the shop would do that

MTL is OK if you like it but a lot of us don't. I never really did.To blanket all cloud blowers as idiots is idiotic imo. There's a time and place to do what you like and agreed blowing clouds in a crowded public place is stupid. I'm not a massive cloud blower imo but I like DTL. The difference is I step away from a crowd to vape which is what you should do which ever way you vape imo.
It really annoys me when people go on the pedi stool about DTL vapers. Just plain ridiculous, live and let live and all should have respect for others surely 🙁

I am not certainly not taring all DTL vapers with the same brush and i agree that MTL vapers can be just as inconsiderate but DTL vaping can be more intrusive to non vapers/smokers.

i was stating what happened ,not was i atall saying all sub ohmers were retards
i got in to it because i like to see how big a cloud i can make,there is an odd satisfaction to it
it might be that because most of use were smokers then vapers we have a bit more etiquette and tbh i still see vapeing as smokeing
it was the few that fubared it for the rest of us as always

unless it was you and your posse i seen down the shoppin center blown sick clouds and telling peps its not illegal so why should you stop 

but some how i dont think it was

I have been a MTL vaper for 5 years. In those early days there was nothing else. I played around with DTL with the various kits I have acquired over the years but it never satisfied me (probably because I wasn't doing it right). After all of this time I have started to experiment more seriously with DTL and have found I enjoy it. However, I still will not be giving up MTL as I enjoy it more in the mornings and when away from home.

It would be nice if MTL vapers had more options. Very few new tanks with pre-built coils have appeared on the market these last few years and 18mg juice is becoming harder to find in a wide varieties of flavours. It is only due to the restricted choices that I considered DTL. People are different and seem to require different vaping experiences. Whatever works is good in my book.

Having started out as a MTL vaper, I am now exclusively DTL/DLI and enjoy it. I mix all my own juices (albeit these days from one-shots and bottle shots) and like the fettling required with a dual-coil rebuildable.
It is all down to being considerate in public. Most of my vaping is at home or in my van, and I am always mindful of others when vaping in public.
Returning from Portugal last week, my wife looked at me quizzically when I said outside the departure entrance to Faro airport "I'm just going to wander up here for a moment to have a vape". Sure there were dozens of smokers cramming in the nicotine, but I wanted to get down wind of them so that my vape wafted across the carparks, not them. If I was vaping in close proximity, I'll hold my vape in so that the exhaust is minimal. I have never had anyone complain to my face.

As Perpetua said earlier in the thread, the great thing about vaping, unlike smoking, is that there is more than one way to satisfy our nicotine addiction, and no version is better or worse, just different.

Is MTL making a comeback?

Well for me it evolved rather than came-back

I always had my Kayfun Lite in daily use, partnered with the latest must have tank which ended with the Goblin Mini, Serpent Mini and finally the OBS Engine.

The trouble was I was using my Kayfun Lite more often than the others as it was more acceptable around sunbeds and bars on holiday. It was not causing the windows inside the house and car to accumulate a sticky film that only a strong solution and elbow grease could remove and finely sometimes I only had a short time to take a nic hit and 2 or 3 toots of a 12mg was more satisfying than the same 3mg DTL tank could provide.

I liked using both styles of vaping and equipment but as I was using the MTL more and more, I sold all my other equipment and purchase a latter version of my trusty 5yr old Kayfun Lite, the Kayfun Prime.

Now I concentrate on purchasing quality flavoured juice/concentrate because the 70ml I use to need a week now lasts a month, the four batteries a day have reduced to one battery and I do feel better for not inhaling so much VG (Rapeseed oil) but these are just bonus reasons, the real improvement for me has been the way I now inhale and saviour the flavour and finally exhaling through the nose and mouth allowing the nicotine to satisfy the craving.

3mg juice DTL vaped at 42w= Robinson’s necked in one, 12mg juice MTL vaped at 12w=J2O sipped.

MTL has certainly become a thing in naming tanks over last year or so. Prior to this I was getting a bit fed up with every new tank having a drainpipe sized drip tip and a sub ohm label, so it’s nice to see the serpents, berserkers and ares style MTL tanks around.

I tend to like single coil, but also have dual and even quad builds, my lowest ohm is around .2ohm, highest is 2.2ohm, use them all for MTL, my favourite tanks have a lot of flexibility in terms of airflow, I like a medium tight draw but sometimes go all airy for a change, for example, the Beserker RTA is just a little on the tight side for me, where the Ares on widest setting is just right.

I'm interested on how the max of 20 mg (18 in real life) limit effects this, I have been testing a low power system and having to get close to that on a restricted MTL type vape.
