Of course I had a rubbish nights sleep, i'm a poor sleeper at the best of times, but it was so clammy and hot last night (or is it my age?) As all our windows were open to catch a breeze, any noise (for 3 miles) unsettled the dog, who decided to be extra vigilant, and barked his head off at everything and anything, and I kept waking up thinking of random camping things I still needed to organise...... sods law! My latest worry is 'did I dry my tent properly at end of last vapefest?' or am I going to unravel it and find mouldy holey fabric and have to sleep in my car...

That's the pup safely boarded for the weekend with her tuck bag . . . . first time I've properly left her since adoption almost 4years ago now. Had a phone call in the early hours from the personal alarm company saying my 91 year old mother who lives in Watford almost 200miles away from me, had taken a fall, but she had refused to go to hospital! That's my mama . . . . anyhow all seems well there now.
My vaping/dog sitting friend is already in hospital again - so that's them attended to for the weekend. So now, I can finally focus on getting myself ready and packed up . . . . . and deciding what to bring/wear.

Hostel escaped, a clean private room for £20 I can't really complain, 2 1/4 hours to make the massive trek from Edmonton to Euston. Much drinking of coffee to be done before my train oop north

The showground is totally empty. Completely tumbleweed zone. I'll pop back at maybe 12.00 to see if anyone knows the official gate opening time for campers.

Thanks for checking djs I'm still having agonies deciding where to pitch up... I'm fretting in case its 100% sunshine and my tent gets like an oven and if I should camp under a tree for shade, or will there be midges as the trees are by the river.... or near the loo's as I spend most the night walking to and from them or will that be noisy as others will be back and forth to loo's ..... or by Jon/social area so I'm in the hub of all the goings on and then I might not be able to sleep later as the partys going on ... Seriously I'm such a worrier!

The Met Office claim it's the right side of 30° in London, albeit only just. I call BS.
Just under 5 hours until I can have a shower, I'm counting down the seconds.

I got taken to Telford! Can't advise on gates. It's a gentle 24.5 degrees with light breeze and no killer sun. Great vaping weather. I'll text my dream girl (Carol Kirkwood) to see if there's any spits and spots. I am getting a few it's true. D UPDATE Am home now... My washing is coming in off the line very soon if it gets darker! I am SURE it's going to rain very soon. It's 1,600 meters as the crow flies to the AAEC camping zone. I wish I could fly....

The further my train gets, the darker the skies look. There wasn't any room for wet weather gear in my bag, so... I'm just going through Wolverhampton. Looking delightful as ever, especially with cloudy skies.
