The funny bit is that they picked up the tortoise and put it on the bonnet of the car, where it duly peed over the car damaging the paint work lol

I thought it was ironic, because the tortoise was so slow and the car was so fast.
Where does a tortoise "just" stroll in front of a car? LOL

I think it was spain that the launch was, but I could be wrong about that.
Now this is funny
“Don’t start up a cold engine and then leave it idling while you rush indoors to pay a belated farewell to your wife.In the interests of minimum engine wear, skip the farewell and drive away. When facing the music on your return in the evening, make a mental note henceforth to adopt a definite sequence of events prior to your morning departure. You will achieve substantially diminished wear from your engine and deserve greater affection from your wife”.

Obviously GK has a wicked SOH #icon_rofl# I'm amazed at the performance figures. They must have been amongst the very fastest in the world at that time. Although with a Chevy small block it would have had terrible MPG, but they had decent handling apparently as well. I'm reminded of the Detomaso GT5S, which must have been a later version of the same sort of car. I really loved the GT5S and if I ever come into an extraordinary amount of cash, I'm going to have one PERFORMANCE: Gordon Keeble 0 - 30 m.p.h. ... 3.00 seconds 0 - 60 m.p.h. ... 5.90 seconds 0 - 100 m.p.h ... 15.00 seconds Standing quarter mile 14.00 seconds

I suppose we have to take into account that these were the very best figures they could come up with at the time, although that takes nothing away from the GK I hope. I keep saying I'm going to take my kids to Santa Pod, so they can experience the acceleration and experience, it's only just down the road. I should just do it.

Yes I don't like the shape of the mr2 mk1, too many sharp angles, though I hear it drives and handles great. The mk3 (roadster) is a bit too much the same as other modern cars. Think I just liked the shape of the mk2.
Also the gen 6 Celica is nice.

As for Supra's, I really miss mine, it's the only car you get into and the dashboard curves around the driver and everything is just there, it's more like a cockpit than a car dash, the passenger doesn't get to see much though, which is probably a good thing if you have gone single turbo Just for memories sake, my Supra back in the day: I truely loved that car
