Chrissie, not sure what the nickel matt is, but mine (nickel plated brass) takes a LOT of polishing or fingermarks appear on it.....almost like the plating is wearing off...polishing does take it away, but must be oils from my skin causing it, i presume? they come back after a couple of hours of use....doesnt really bother me tho, as i dont take it out & about.....mind you, since using the LR901, that might change |

That's interesting Lilac. I guess it must be the nickel that your skin is reacting to?

I'm really allergic to nickel, brings me out in blisters on contact with my skin, which is odd as I've rhino hide . . . . happily there are other finishes available if anyone has a similar problem!

I bought SO a sterling silver chain, he came up in a terrible rash. His watch has to have a plastic back, so he has short-lived cheapos instead of a decent one.
