I'm just gonna put my questions here and hope Perp or Blakey or anyone can answer, Mods please feel free to put this in another thread if it needs to be .
I see these are available on the golden Greek site for pre-order with an estimated delivery of 20/7 but some people seem to have them already? If I order one tomorrow will I get the 20/7 delivery or will I have to wait for another batch?
Do I need to buy anything else to go with it for right now? I know it comes with some pre-made wire...
Will I need a multi meter or the like, for right now? Or is that something for a later date, since these things so rarely come on sale and the cost of buying cartos, clearos etc is already building up, I'm thinking to hell with it, I'd rather just get a Penelope and stumble my way through

Golden Greek released the first batch a few weeks back which is where we got ours from.... they are now expecting the second batch on or around the 20th which Cam is taking pre-orders for ...so yeah if you ordered one now you should get one around the 20th it comes with about a meter of wick which should make at least 7-8 rebbuilds it also comes with a wire to make a coil... however its just the one Cam does sell them as he does with the wick but they are out of stock most of the time if you cant get the wires from Cam then you will need to make one by using resistance wire and non resistance wire and twist them together ....Deesigner sells the non resistance wire so drop her a PM but has run out of the resistance wire i believe Scotts video gives you a great idea of how the coil is made @ 7 minutes

a multimeter would come in handy to get the resistance coil that you require... however you can calculate it and work out how long a length for resistance wire you would need for a certain ohm

That's great thanks Gordy, been searching the forum for a Penelope thread and finally just found it in the vaping media section. It sounds like I don't need anything extra to buy for right now then, I could be set for a few weeks with what comes in the box? Do I need a multi-meter? No idea how to use one, but saw the guy in the video did on his first build. Let's hope they don't sell out again before my wages go in

in regards to whether you need a multimeter ...they are handy but not essential.... i just did a few calcs and then wrote list of wire lengths for the desired ohms ie i cut a length 60mm for a 2ohm coil or 45mm for a 1.5ohm etc
the Penelope is such an awesome bit of kit and will save you loads of money in the long run it'll last forever and because it works so well you wont be tempted by the next new gadget on the market so saves you there too
i'll move these posts to a new thread as others may find them useful

Thats it exactly I've probably already spent about £40 on cartos, clearomisers, vivi nova etc and was looking to buy more this week. Something like the Penelope makes so much more sense in the long run (or even the short run at the rate I've been going) Plus she's so pretty and shiny

I got an Odysseus and still kept buying cartos, tanks, visions etc but none of them came close to working as well as the Odysseus ...so i thought damn it and bought another and a Penelope and now Im in vaping nirvana ...and when you think about it you've spent £40 on cartos and have nothing to show for it when they have been used up...where as a Penelope is for life, not just for christmas

I can only echo what Gordy has said Ellen . . . the Penelope is one of the easiest tank systems I've owned to set up and I'm not technical by nature, far from it. It gives a lovely vape, again one of the best I've experienced. Whilst the initial purchase is an outlay, the cost of wick & wires after is only pennies. As with all rebuildables there is a learning curve, but it soon becomes familiar to you and there's something really satisfying about making your own coils and them working.

The GG site should have ready made wires going up very soon- that's the no resistance and resistance already connected and ready to wrap. Might be an ideal thing till you get used to it. 1 will be supplied with your penelope
