No mate, what I do here is pair the 2mm and 1mm together to make the 3mm that will go down the channels and I use a small section of 2mm at the point where I make the coil which acts as a buffer, In all I'm winding the coil around 5mm of wick but only 3mm runs down the channel. I do this A- because I have a vast supply of both wicks And B because I can't really get on with the 3mm wick that Imeo bundles in, I had to boil it before I could use it Ah ha I see, that makes sense, I'm getting to 2mm delivered tomorrow so I will give that a go 5mm of Wick with some decent wire must mean clouds of bloody vapour, I like that idea When I'm ramming 4v through 2ohm coils I like plenty of juice to burn It gives a lovely flavour this way

At this rate we will have to start an AAEC Penelope club Everyone seems to have their wire sorted for now. @gordy Terry has just re-started his wire sales on the new UKV. He also has 3mm wick if anyone is interested. I also see that HC are now selling 3mm wick at £4 per 5m. The bad news is that they have discontinued cheap China post to the UK while the Olympics are on. On the change in price of the Penelope - I got a £4 refund from GG last night, I wonder if it was to do with that as they say they had a problem with their currency conversion module? Has anyone else had one as I had no explanation for it.?

Is it because they dropped the price on their site by £3 at midnight?

I think I have figured it out - the refund must have been for the GGTS which I see has now come down in price by £4. I just had a notification from PP - no message from GG surprise surprise

Tried this wick macca, superb flavour without a doubt but it burns so very easily, It's very easy to just leave that juice control closed too much or run a bit low on juice in the tank I'll happily use it for home but I would never trust it outside. Haven't tried it in a mesh hybrid set up yet though......... Maybe worth a go

In defence of the thinner resistance wire, which I use in all my rebuildables, it is easier to get a nice coil with fewer turns for those of us who aren't quite so proficient in winding so they don't touch each other and short. Just saying like.

More questions.......... so sorry and I hope it makes sense as I havent got mine yet Is it really necessary to have 2 pieces of wick (one on top of each other) or can I just have one? Is it 4 or 5 wraps of the high resistance round the wick or advisable to do a few more? Is it just on one side that you wrap the low resistance twice round the bottom and then cut off and the other side you trim so its flush against the bottom edge, under the wick? The put the ring over and screw on so it flattens the wick edges in the grooves? Okay now comes to when I've assembled it......... what about filling, do I need a syringe or can I use a dropper or a needle tip bottle and do I fill in the ........ now this is where I'm a bit vague........ at the top, but below the mouthpiece? sorry to sound so stuipid
