So I'm a flavour queen. I'll take flavour over throat hit any day. I find that clearos are inconsistent and either burn or mute flavour. Vivi tank was pants, total muter-ama. Cartos are usually good but also inconsistent. Echomiser was quite good. Direct dripping is aces, but of course the constant re-dripping can be a pain in the vagina.
Can anyone recommend a system which delivers as much, or almost as much flavour as DD? Tanks with cartos any good?
I would be eternally grateful for some help here.

Lots of people like Carto Tanks Boo . . . they're just ok for me. A rebuildable Tank would be my first choice for an ultimate flavour experience . . . or else I use Clearomiser innards in a Clockworks/Arry Tank, which aren't quite so off the peg either.

I'm kinda obsessive about flavour too, nothing has beaten a LR carto for me on flavour.
That dual coil one I think we were talking about on another thread, is about one of the best, but for your Riva a LR Boge, but they can be a little inconsistent. Which cartos have you used and how do you fill them?
Tanks in cartos are supposed to be quite the ducks nuts, combining the convienience of a tank and the taste of a carto

Hmmm. I shall look into this. After checking the old bank balance I realise that I have more money than I thought and am therefore free to spaff away a good chunk on all things e-cig.
Whatabout those provaris with a rebuildable atty (obvs not penelope - I'm not that loaded)?
Also. Was it you I was chatting to about vivis..and you said pixie juice raspberry dodge was crap in a vivi because of the delicate flavour balance? I think it was you. So. Is that particular flavour OK in a carto? Cus I've been direct dripping that stuff and it's blowing my socks off..wonder if it's as good in other delivery systems..
And yes, that dual coil carto IS good. Grizwalds Strawberry ice cream in it is wonderful....
I'm really not sure what route to take, you know.....I'm thinking either stock up on regular 510 atties and direct drip some special gourmet flavours, or get a rebuildable attie, and use decent cartos for other flavours, or try clearos again, or try cartos with a good tank....
Thing is, with the rebuildable attie, does that mean I'm restricted to just one flavour....that I'd have to clean and dry burn before trying another? I'd like a few atties for certain flavours (Obvz I'm thinking Grizwalds and Pixie Juice)...
?
By the way, you've always been very helpful, Ellen (as well as a couple others on here), and I appreciate that.

Raspberry dodge is great in a low resistance carto, but then I've never done much direct dripping, as far as I'm aware that's the absolute best way to experience flavours and I'm not sure whether you will match that with anything else. Your idea of stocking up on atomisers and gourmet flavours may be the best way to experience flavours if you have the time and patience. I think most people use other things mostly for the convienience of not having to drip. I can't advise with the rebuildable atomisers I'm afraid, I've only just got Penelope and I've broken her twice but I'm sure someone will come along and let you know on that one. I was planning to ask whether I could use it for testing liquids (dripping) but I need to get her vaping properly first. Just one thing, quite honestly if you're a flavour hound like me and especially if you've been dripping a clearomiser is never going to cut it. The vivi is better, but even still....I've never even bothered putting anything other than tobacco flavours in a clearomiser. Don't worry though, if you're saying you have money to spend, the ninjas will be along to point you in the right direction

Raspberry Dodge does taste better in a carto than in a Vivi, no idea why, I love the Vivi for most juices... but that one it simply does not work in. Strange ??? I will try it again when I start building my own wicks and coils for it. I think that would be a restriction for you with a rebuildable... you can vape through the flavour change, but I get the feeling that would be a compromise you wouldn't be happy with... so you would need to wash between flavour changes. There are cheaper rebuildables coming on the market now though... around £15 ... not 100% sure of the quality yet though... but having a few of them for diifferent flavours is more attainable than a Penelope for each

Again we are all so different, its always been a niggle with me getting good flavour, I don't seem to be able to taste things as much as others seem to. A 306 was always my atty of choice, the puromiser was really good when I first had them back in febuary but every one I ordered since has just poured the juice out I like the Vivi with my own wicks and the Visions for out and about but still no where near the 306 for flavour, I have the RDA now and it is better than the 306 and wicking them is so simple, easier than wicking anything else, as you can get a lot more juice in them than the 306 it will now be my atty of choice and they are only the price of 6x306 and will last an awful long time.

Boge LR carts give good flavour but now I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the only device I have tried that gives ultimate flavour is the Penelope. If I knew this now and had to choose between a Provari or a Penelope I would have the Penelope on a VV like a twist or Lavatube.

Booblay the only thing I would advise against is stocking up on large numbers of anything - the vaping scene is changing so fast that you could discover the perfect answer next week and be left with a mountain of this week's purchases

Direct dripping is aces, but of course the constant re-dripping can be a pain in the vagina. I direct drip pretty much all the time, even when out and about, walking around, whatever. I don't mind the hassle of it, if the results are better than the alternatives.

OK. This is all useful, thanks. I'm thinking of getting an RDA.....apparently some sort of mesh something or other can be added so that the atty can take 20 drops of ejuice? Anyone have any information on this? Also, I've been directed to this: www.health-e-vape.co.uk/ego-customizer--atomizer-fully-rebuildablepre-order-promo-sale--2750-p.aspWould this work in the same way as a RDA? Could get three for the price of one RDA, see. I'm gonna try a different juice in my vivi....heard too much good stuff about these things to give up so soon.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Clockworks RDA takes 20 drops of juice as it comes. And then there are ways you can increase the capacity beyond that.

True, it can take 20 drops, you can also use a mesh wick if you want. The Ego customizer is very interesting, not bought one yet, but as Oneday says in his post, things change so much so quickly, god knows what is around the corner next but it's all good for us

You can certainly get 20 drops in an RDA - as long as you keep it upright! They will leak out of the air hole if you chuck them about. Some people stick a couple of bits of fluval in them to hold some juice. It is an excellent attie for flavour though. Probably the best for flavour is something that uses a mesh wick - you can also change flavours in these quite quickly. This is if you want to get into oxidising mesh etc. It is a bit of a learning curve with these though if you want to take them on, but the results can be stunning It is possible to put a mesh wick in an RDA, so it can be used to experiment with.

Vapour Hut also have this excellent, inexpensive little dripper in stock now . . . . vapourhut.com/atomisers-cartomisers/VH-DripperThe terminals sit in quite a deep well, so you can get a fair few drips of liquid in there, before having to top up.
