I mix, but I have a set of complex flavours that I'm working on, none of which are right yet, so everything I've mixed so far is technically a failure (or, as I prefer to call them, 'successful explorations of the problem space which identify unrequired combinations'). My most successful exploration, which identified the most unrequired combination, was an early trial of Chocolate Bread and Butter Pudding which tasted of lemon. Fortunately, I can - and will - vape pretty much anything, so I can use all my failures. The best, so far, are the Xmas Pud (very nearly right) and Canary in a Coal Mine (Cavendish black tobacco with honey rum).

Gum arabic? Seriously? I imagine it would be excellent for rendering your atomisers unusable or for making a juice too viscous to vape. I have no idea what it would taste like, and I never will, because I wouldn't even try it.

It is lovely. I would have snapped it up if I didn't already have 3 bottles.

So if you already smoke, you don't get your hit, and presumably smoke even more trying to get it. Quite. You can vaccinate against enjoying nicotine, but you can't vaccinate against wanting nicotine. And people vaccinated against nicotine will still be addicted to smoking.

If it keeps the next generation from getting addicted, I would welcome it with open arms and I suppose it gives a choice to those who really want to quit nicotine but find themselves unable to do so. I suspect the tobacco industry will be out to prove that it causes brain damage or something... The tobacco industry don't accept that nicotine is addictive and the scientific evidence supports that view. I tend to the view that it's the MOAI-like tobacco alkoids that supply the pleasure and the addiction. The vaccine seems to be another symptom of the wilful ignorance that pervades the anti-smoking establishment.

Nicotine isn't addictive. It's habit-forming, like caffeine and other mild stimulants, but in laboratory tests it's proved all but impossible to get rats or monkeys addicted to nicotine. Most of the addiction involved in smoking comes from other tobacco alkoids which act in the same way as MAOI anti-depressants, together with the psychological effects of routine action. Vaping allows you to keep the nicotine habit and the routine action, while kicking the dependence on the other chemicals in cigarette smoke. Switching to 0% liquid lets you kick the nicotine habit while retaining the psychological benefits from the routine action. One of the reasons that standard nicotine replacement therapies have such a low success rate is that they're addressing the least important part of tobacco dependency; the nicotine habit. Vaping addresses the two least important directly - nicotine and habitual action - and addresses the most important - MOAI dependency - indirectly, by providing a new interest (which can easily become obsessive) and by feeding the sense of pleasure and accomplishment, all of which are useful tools for fighting the mild to moderate depression which can result from what is, in effect, a withdrawal from using anti-depressants.
