Then the manufacturers moved on to variable wattage chip that came out of China as that was far more accurate. Then they were no so much clones as similar competing devices.

Obviously, their quality control sucks ( I speak from first hand experience of repairing several chinese VW devices) and they are not built to last, but they put the more advanced devices into the hands of the masses. They all have their niche market. You can buy a designer belt for 7 times the price than at Primark. Some would say it's a piece of leather and buy at Primark and others would go for the designer belt.

It's all down to individual choice. If there is one problem with the Provari, it's the glue that holds the circuit board to the body. My V2 had a problem because I was dropping batteries down the tube which knocked the glue loose and I had to open it up to fix it.

A proper NAS drive will be ethernet wired to the router. All clients connected to it can access the files depending on equipment capabilities.

It's like a mini network computer and many of them also support running bit torrent clients and webcasting which means you can access your files where ever you go but you need a good upload speed from your broadband.

It will also have a couple of USB ports so you can enhance storage by plugging in USB drives. You can buy them ready made ie.,with a hard drive or just the shell and put in one or two HDD's of your choice depending on the shell.

Is there a "Buy one if you want to" option?

I believe Ignorance is bliss in this particular issue unless it is to market e-liquids or as a scientific experiment.
