I would suggest you put it on your Lavatube and start from the lowest Voltage setting and slowly increase it in steps and try. I think coffee/cappuccino flavours need very low heat for good flavour.
You are more likely to damage the ego type battery than the LT.

I am surprised you are getting 3 ohms with 5 wraps of 0.2 Kanthal..Must be a pretty thick wick you are using because around a 2mm wick normally you would get around 1.6 to 1.7 ohms for 5 turns. Anyway, the main thing is that you are happy with the results..Yes it's fine to drip a couple of drops and fire it to test..

Firstly you won't get the same experience by that much variance in resistance.. A 1.3 ohm coil will not taste and vape like a 3 ohm coil at the same wattage.
Also coil structure plays a very important part of the vape/experience as you can make a 1.3 ohm coil by wrapping loads of 28 AWG wire or with just one wrap of 0.15 mm wire. They will both taste and vape completely differently.
Second true battery capacity is measure in watt hour ie., nominal voltage x mAh rating. For example you can have a 2000 mAh NiMh & a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery. One has 2400 mWh or 2.4 wh capacity and the other is 7.4 wh. So mAh is not a true measure of battery capacity. It is only one half of the equation.
So if you drain 4.8 watts in whatever mode, they will last roughly the same time. The only difference is power loss. It is true that higher current means higher power loss as it is directly proportional to the square of the current. That is why power is transmitted over long distances at very high voltage. But with the relatively small currents in e-cigs the difference will be marginal in battery runtime.
Therefore the coil structure is a much more important factor in the vape experience than anything else.

Looks ok to me from what I can see..And if all the coils glow evenly then it should be fine..It does wick when you fill it with juice I take it..
Only thing I can suggest is to sand down the top cap to get the hole to line up and lower the voltage a bit if you can if you have it on a twist.
What juice are you trying on it?

Is the coil not touching the wick then?

Even though the Vamo connector does have ego threading, they haven't made the well big enough for the popular Kanger ego threaded devices to fit..Pretty silly oversight really. All it needed was for the clearance to be around 1.5 to 2mm more.
Kanger attachments have always been 1mm wider at 15mm starting from the Kanger bottom coil. All ego threaded devices.

Actually the ego-twist puts many LT versions to shame..
But The V4 is good I am told..

They'll fit fine without any adapters..
The only ones you need adapters for is Kanger T2, T3 etc.,

Probably the wick is fully occupying the wick hole and not allowing it to wick because there is no way for air to replace the used juice in the tank..Easiest way to tell if this is the problem is to remove the bung on the opposite side and try it. If that is the case, you need roll the wick thinner so that it is loose in the hole.
The photo is very blurred to tell but if the ego battery is working intermittenly it means the coil is getting too hot and shorting on the wick. I trust that it is a genuine ego battery. Not the best choice to make rebuildable wicks on but at least it has decent short circuit protection.

Yeah a lot of images are loaded from the browser cache, so it'll be a bit hit and miss..
I am sure Chrissie will confirm how the coding works..
