What the bill might enable the State to do is shutdown the internet sales effectively killing most of the sales, simply because checks by internet vendors cannot guarantee that a minor is not buying their product. That seems unlikely since the same does not apply to other age restricted products such as alcohol or indeed tobacco. |

 Finding liquids you like can be hard work, recommendations only go so far since taste is so subjective - and even more so when your tastebuds have to recover from being a smoker. Many people rave about Paradise Vape liquids... I have tried over 20 and haven't liked any of them so far. Same goes for Grizwalds. The alcohol taste does sound like the juices need steeping... you can speed the process up by letting them sit in a dish of warm water for a few hours (not sure if you need to leave the cap on or off for this). I have also read that tobacco flavours tend to need longer steeping time... not sure how reliable this is. I have had a VERY hard time finding any flavours that aren't sweet that I like. I have tried a load of coffee flavours but they all taste like marmite (literally) ???, tobacco flavours I have tried all taste like damp hay to me  . Sweet flavours and fruit flavours I am fine with, I have found lots that I like and some that I love... but like you I don't really want to be vaping ice cream and donuts all day. If your tastebuds are similar to mine you may want to look at some fruit flavours that are more fruity than sweet. I am also starting to be a little of the opinion that vaping on public transport could be a little of a no-no, your opinion of a nicely flavoured/ smelling choice, could be very different to the person sitting next to you . I wouldn't be happy if the person I was started burning joss sticks or constantly spraying deodorant for example........ I am all for being considerate to others however if you follow that argument to it's logical conclusion there is no end to the number of things that shouldn't be done/allowed on public transport in case someone is offended or mildly inconvenienced. 1. Women wearing too much perfume. 2. Any form of body odour. 3. Eating strong smelling food. 4. Talking loudly on a mobile phone. 5. Annoying ringtones (every ringtone is potentially annoying to someone, therefore ban all ringtones) 6. Crying children. Feel free to add to the list... not saying any of these are things that annoy me, just making a point. |

Part of the problem here is the very fact that the person on the bus felt they had to be sneaky about doing something that they have every right to do.
The other side of the problem is the person who, rather than saying "excuse me, your bag seems to be smoking" thinks the only appropriate response is to call the police and raise an alarm.
I see both of these things as a direct result of the manufactured "war on terror" that has been created by governments and the media and had a FAR more damaging effect on our society and civil liberties than terrorism itself possibly could.
As a side note... it will be interesting to learn the colour of the skin of the vaper on the bus to see if that influenced the alarmist on the bus.
