The digestive system is something that smoking plays havoc with so there is a strong possibility that your IBS will improve dramatically over time, but as is often the case, it may get worse before it gets better as your body cleans out all the toxins and gets used to your new cleaner body chemistry and heals itself.

I have said this before, but it bears repeating.

I think the rate at which people absorb nicotine through vaping can vary a great deal so we should be careful about advising people that if they smoked xx number of cigs they need xx mg nic juice. I think it makes far more sense to recommend that people buy a few different nic level juices to find the level they need.

There are 2 different issues here I think, 1 is that our bodies are all different so some of us may absorb nic more easily from vapour than others. The other issue is that, without the health risks of smoking, it is very easy to vape far far more than you would have smoked.

I was a fairly heavy tobacco smoker, around 20-30 fat rolled cigs a day - for me, the best nic level for juice seems to be around 6mg, if I vape much higher for long it makes me feel ill (in my case it effects my sugar levels more than anything).

Well that's the funny thing... I loved smoking or at least I thought I did and I have never once tried to quit or even thought about it. It just happened by accident... I tried ecigs because I had a chest infection and couldn't smoke much, found I liked it a lot more and just ended up not smoking. At no point did I feel like I was making any kind of effort to quit, so for me it was shockingly easy, I had quit before I even realised it!

Obviously the hand to mouth action and the inhaling/exhaling part is what I really loved, so replacing it with something that tastes better and can taste different whenever I want it to is an upgrade for me, I am really not giving anything up

Everyones experience is unique, I think I am very lucky to have not ever gone through frustrating attempts to quit or try to cut down and to go from smoking to not-smoking so effortlessly.
