... if you weren't on here talking jibberish to strangers? I don't do Facebook or Twitter (no friends  ), but do feel safe on here talking absolute rubbish, in amongst the valuable posts regarding vaping... best of both worlds. Years ago (many years ago), I'd be down the local pub, setting the world to rights with a pint, a pickled egg and some crisps. Most of the village would be there during the evening and I do so miss those nights. Will they ever return for our youngsters, or will they be consigned to a digital relationship, with no 'real' feeling of belonging to a community. That's my thought for the night.  |

Oops, I forgot to mention that I'm not surprised someone complained. We are talking about a workplace where a woman once made a complaint about someone being gentlemanly and holding a door open for her. Sexist apparently.The lad in question got marched away from his team by a shift manager and politely asked not to hold doors open in future. Thankfully the woman no longer works here! ...Saddos, like me, who live on their own and can't find food in sizes that suit us, at a reasonable price. Thought I'd get adventurous today with some flatbreads, chicken, lettuce, tomatoes etc. Got it home to discover that the flatbreads are only good for one day, once opened, the lettuce not much more... so I guess I'll just go back to Weetabix Surely with your discount you're only paying for half of it anyway The urge was too great  Not quite... it still ****** me off that they all assume their customers are a family with 2.4 kids... there is such a market out there for the rest of us. If I had any brains, I'd look for a 'crowdfunding' site to fund my 'Meals for saddos'  |
