Just seen this thread, been off for a few days... have sent my 'sick note' to Chrissie liz2009 and really hope it works for you, it has for so many. Can't really help with your 'friendship' with gill2009 , it would appear you're stuck with her as a 'friend', but can't think of anyone better!* *PS... was going to say something else, but not drunk enough yet!

And the man selling fish from a basket in pubs? The poor guy, in every pub someone would say "have you got crabs" and laugh like a drain, every pub every night.... LOL Stop it... you've just brought back memories of me trying to impress the girlfriends in the 'select' pubs... with 'chicken in the basket', 'scampi in the basket'... now they were happy days.

Raffles Did you ever try these: They were about twice as long as a normal ciggie and I think they were 3d each instead of 1d for a single park drive No, they must have passed me by... but I do remember thinking 'I was a man'... when I progressed to 'Senior Service'... happy days eh?

We was posh, on my paper round we had a "links" golf course, made loads finding the balls, used to get paid the same, but in 10s not 100s, and weekends scoring for the local CC made up some more pocket money. +1 Black Jacks & Sherbert DipDabs & Tigernuts -1 for Root Liquorice, I preferred the Red one Sheesh... I'd forgotten that. Used to do it before a few years later playing for them... only got paid in cucumber sandwiches though.

yahoo2u2 & Bob ... Yep, I had a 'Bullworker' and before that the Charles Atlas 'instructions'... never had sand kicked in my face after that, cos I never went on the beach if the 'big boys' were there. When none of us knew any better... plus I was never alone with... and when I felt cool, pretending to be James Bond, and down with the boys (and girls), the American 'soft pack'... searching for pics I even found one of Sir Stanley Matthews advertising 'Craven A' fags Never really had a 'sweet tooth', so 'Spangles' is the only one that stands out, and also... where if you wanted a choice, you either opened the little blue bag of salt or you didn't, none of the ridiculous range today.

I just tried that and getting a site "For Sale" page so looks like it's gone for good I've looked on my favourite domain registrar, and searched for the site, and it does come up with 'Make an offer'... so I guess it is probably for sale. There are many other sites if you Google 'banner sites' but the AAEC one was special, so a shame. I've used sincemylastcigarette.com/ for the time being.

Greigster you do have a point there... although I can't bring myself to watch them, I believe Darren Day & Danielle Westbrook have redeemed themselves, for the time being.

Now this has got me thinking, is there any wonder the youth of today are like they are watching this type of rubbish and let's face it if there not watching rubbish like this there just sat at home pissing around on bloody forums errrrr well some forums are perfectly ok lol.I know what you mean minime ... the youth of today have forgotten how to interact with another human being in the 'real' world. We could do with an Internet 'outage' or TV 'outage' for a month... Mind you, I'd miss my fix of Corrie & Emmerdale

Just to stir things up a little on a cold February evening, but what entertainment do people get out these shows? I've watched a few teaser clips from 'Big Brother' and would rather watch 'paint dry'... 'The Only Way Is ... wherever', is to promote people who think they're beautiful and interesting, but they are deluding themselves. Even 'I'm a Celebrity', which wins awards, I cannot stand apart from the first and last episodes, and then only in small bites. Now, 'The Jump'. and I will admit I've never watched a minute of it, because why would I? Who wants to watch desperate 'celebrities' risk serious injuries (which have now happened) for the sake of a pay check. I'm now off to search YouTube for episodes of 'Watch with Mother' for some real entertainment.

A lovely post car147 ...& sure a lot of 'Googlers'... but some will surely benefit greatly by joining us Depends whether they watch your recent 'chart topping' videos gill2009 But yes, the 'guest' view is only part of what this forum offers... being a 'member' brings access to the full 'madhouse', and even if they don't post for a while, they'll discover the true 'meaning of life'... as 'we' know it.

The weather has been bleddy awful here as well since 1 am this morning. Got woken up by the sound of our roof tiles rattling (very disconcerting) apparently they're screwed on. The sound of rain and hail crashing (it was that loud) against the window and thunder & lightning. It's still very blowy and was still rattling the roof tiles up to about a hour ago. Give it a few more weeks DiscoDes and you'll remember why you moved to the coast To all those effected, please take care.
