Had a few niggling things go wrong today which wound me up, so settling down for the night I reached for a fresh 'bottle' to relax me. And the bl**dy top was faulty with the whole cap just going around and around. Got the pliers out, but wouldn't reach round the neck... tried a few screwdrivers, but only managed to stab myself in the finger... ouch. Found my cheapo set of mini screwdrivers and was able to get inside the cap and rip it off... relief! I know there's far more important things happening in the world, but thought I'd just share that with you. |

Oh dear... I think this thread is going to go downhill very quickly... not, in any way the fault of the OP, but it just opens up a 'can of worms'. Who are the State, to tell us how to behave within our family. They would be far better off securing our safety against those really trying to destroy us, i.e. terrorists and other 'idiots'. If smoking is so bad (which most of us on here agree), stop trying the softly, softly approach (while keeping the tax receipts)... and BAN the bl**dy product. It's not going to happen.  |

I clear a path for the postie each year, and put a large box on the step... but it's always empty when I get home  I feel an AAEC send Raffles a card for Valentines Day campaign needs to be organised  I haven't received one for years either. I don't need sympathy or charity Helen... I've found my 60's Charles Atlas course and my 'bullworker' exercise gizmo... so they'll soon be flocking to my door... until they realise I haven't got my teeth! |

Have had no internet or even a landline for the last week, and doesn't it make you feel vulnerable. Relied solely on the mobile, and if I'd had a power cut, and couldn't charge it, what to do? What the hell did our parents, grandparents do? Probably because they usually all lived in the same village, and could keep in touch that way... but it scared me, as I had my tax return to submit and the deadline getting closer... but have just done that now, and AAEC was the second most important site to catch up on! |
