Tonights programme was all about counterfeit goods. Made me chuckle as 30 odd years ago I used to buy watches (not famous brands, just cheapos) from the area around Cheetham Hill, Manchester (where most of it was filmed) and resell them. I guess I realised they were not legit, because of the price, and I would have never bought any electrical items... so apologies for my youthful indiscretion. To the point... part of the programme concerned e-cigs... and the cheap chargers available, causing a house fire for the person in the show. To be fair, they concluded that e-cigs were not at fault, and If the correct charger is purchased there should be no problem. Thought it was going to be a 'hatchet' job but they emphasised that it was solely due to a counterfeit charger. Jeremy Kyle has gone up 2 points in my estimation, but that still only makes him 2 out of 10.  |

Having lived in the South West for most of my youth, I'm ashamed to say I only visited Cornwall once... and that was to the town that began with 'N', on a camping holiday... lasted one night as we got washed out with a storm overnight. Regarding the roads, they sound like those in Somerset, where I used to tootle around in my little Ford Anglia, no problem... until I went back on visits with my humongous Volvo... spent more time in the hedge than moving, but great fun. Totally agree on the pasties from the big 'G'... rubbish, prefer the ones from my local baker up here, probably still not up to Cornish standards but perfectly acceptable. As for cream teas, how can you put the jam on top of the cream... you'd never get if off the knife without a mess. It has to be jam on the scone then a damn good dollop of cream on top. Hope I haven't offended anyone. |

I know you think you're the victim here ausfost, but I believe you must have done or said something to irritate it. You didn't call it a 'pussy cat' did you? In which case he/she was quite within it's human animal rights to rip the xxxx out of you. You must know by now it's always the victim's fault, the dog probably had a disturbed ' child puppyhood' and should be 'punished' with a fortnight of pampering at a top class 'dogs retreat'. Seriously, glad you're OK and also now an expert on 'wood turning'.  |

Only watched the last 15mins of Cambridge Utd v Manchester Utd (got bored with Benidorm)... but couldn't tell the difference. Well done Cambridge. Which brings me to the point... 'what a rip off the fans are getting'... there are only a handful of players in the world that can be classed as 'great' and worth watching... the rest are just 'journeymen', collecting mega money for going through the motions and doing nothing of note. I realise this will not sit well with many fans, but how can anyone justify the stupid money these guys (and managers) get for being in the Premier ??? league. They'll get none of my 'hard earned'. |
