I contacted Andy at JAC Vapour about the same issue, he said the following: "We have currently not been able to track down a manufacturer of the adapters for the other way [VGO > 510], I have not found 1 company that even sells them UK or US, but we are looking." I have 3 different batteries: Echo Auto (1300mah), VGO Auto (650mah) and the V3 (which apparently is a Kanger) all have pure 808D-1 threads and fit standard 808 carts / chargers. So it would appear from the above and from reading this thread that really all we need is a pure 808D-1 to 510 adapter (i.e. not a 901/808D-1 to 510/EGO) to get 510 SR Carts to work. Do you think based on what's been said on this thread that this is in fact what we're after: www.evcigarettes.com/thread-adapter-808d-1-to-510/If so I'll point JAC Vapour to it since he's had "trouble" finding one here or in the US. I.

I'd emailed Vape Escape but got no reply. So I posted here - managing to miss the fact that they've got a sales number to call. Doh !! The answer to my question: They're SmokeTech batteries and the Auto batteries are not "sealed" (or more accurately "drip protected") as they have that hole in the middle unlike for example these batteries which are: www.vapeescape.co.uk/kr808d-1-auto-battery-%28sealed%29~364I.

Thanks maccafan that's wonderfully clear and comprehensive. So, they're not technically sealed, but because they've got rid of that big hole in the centre (which the only batteries that failed on me had), they prevent condensation as though they are sealed and are thus much more reliable. But because that's rather long-winded, vendors just refer to them as "sealed" or "drip-protected". Got it! Cheers, I.

Oh, okay. Thanks. Yes, maccafan's post was interesting re. the voltage. Suppliers need to be a little careful with their claims (especially re. their competition). This is why forums, such as this are so valuable. Cheers, I.

No, I saw it had gone over to page 2. As you are aware, I'm no expert. But I've used non-sealed batteries and sealed (and I've seen the manual EGO batteries shown on YouTube) and the VGO2s look exactly the same and certainly appear to be sealed??? I might be wrong, perhaps another more expert VGO2 Auto battery user can confirm. I don't understand re. sealed auto batteries. The KR808-D1 auto on Vape Escape was sealed, as is JAC Vapour's V3. Am I missing something here? I'm a little confused. Thanks again, I.

@ Chrissie : I think the VGO2 Auto batteries are sealed.

Yes, I wondered about that voltage claim, that's why I posted it (as it's not directly related to the 510/808 topic).
The thing about adapters though works both ways; people who are 510 users would be able to try the VGO batteries and may like them. So it opens up the 510 market to JAC Vapour's "hardware" (and latterly JAC Vapour's carts - as once you have an 808 battery ....).
Personally I've been very impressed with his VGO2 auto battery (the warranty is something like 80 days ???) - and I can't find an equivalent auto battery among the 510s (everything seems to be manual).

Just heard from Andy @ JAC Vapour re. adapters: Our carts do require a higher voltage to perform at their best, all our Vgo/KR808D-1 stuff performs at 3.7-4.2v whereas the 510 stuff is all 3v under load despite being listed at 3.7v.
We have currently not been able to track down a manufacturer of the adapters for the other way [VGO > 510], I have not found 1 company that even sells them UK or US, but we are looking. Which backs up what Chrissie and others have been saying. i.e. there currently is no solution. But it looks like one is being sought. I.

The V3 is a re-branded 220 mAh KR808-D1.. In effect they are the same battery and the 280 mAh is of a bigger size that's all..KR stands for Kanger, a Chinese manufacturer of decent repute. Thanks once again maccafan - very handy info. @ Chrissie. Yes, Vape Escape is where I came across them. Thanks for the discount code! Cheers to you both. Very impressed with the quality and speed of responses on this forum. So that's 1, 2, 4 and 5 (from my other thread i.e. Echo Auto ~ VGO2 Auto battery) dealt with already. I.

Thanks Chrissie.
Just read the thread you pointed to.
I agree, the customer service from JAC Vapour has been faultless. It's interesting that Andy at JAC Vapour is bucking the 510 trend. I can see that backfiring in the long run.
I'll contact him and see if he can shed any light on VGO2 to 510 adapters.
Also good to know that the Echo is pretty much the same as the VGO2. It certainly looked pretty identical.
Thanks again Chrissie. Things are becoming much clearer.

Hi all
I'm looking for possible (better) alternatives to my current "thin" (<1 cm diameter) 808D-1 auto battery.
Currently (for outdoor use) I use a V3 78mm (230mah) from JAC Vapour (and I like the fact that they've got a 42 day warranty). They're "drip protected" (sealed) unlike the Innokin ones I tried which were very poor and failed after a few days.
The KR808D-1 Auto Battery looks like it might fit the bill. They're the same voltage, a little longer but last longer too (280mah)
Questions: 1) Are the KR808D-1 Auto Batteries any good? 2) Have any JAC Vapour (V3) customers used both batteries and if so which did they prefer? 3) Are there other 808 ("sealed") auto batteries that I should be looking at? 4) I assume a standard USB 808 charger will be able to charge all 808 Auto batteries. But I probably assume wrong, since life can't be that easy, surely?
Finally (on a partially related note):
5) Have any users of JAC Vapour's VGO2 Auto batteries also used Hangsen's Echo Automatic Battery? They are both 808s and look almost identical. If so, is one any better than the other?
Any help much appreciated.
Many thanks,
I.

Just noticed that LF do this adapter as well.. 901/808 to eGo Adapter ..... Noted, thanks. I'm pretty happy at the moment with JAC Vapours carts, but I don't like being tied down. I'll look around to see if people recommend a particular 510 (eGo compatible) cartomiser. Thanks again, I.
